I am able to run the Push 2 script on BWS 1.3.5/ 1.3.6 RC1, OS X 10.10,thanks for this great update,
I have 2 problems
1. The Wiki states to copy the ""run command" anywhere in your system i.e. the desktop run it, and the Push2display should startup.
I only have success with this command when I run terminal and cd to the "push2display" folder within the script
What am I missing?
2 The script will runs about 1 hour and the java and Push2display portion quits the remainder still runs in terms of BWS control
Terminal indicates "The crash happened outside the Java Virtual Machine in native code"
I am running JRE version: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (8.0_72-b05) (build 1.8.0_72-ea-b05).
These are minor problems at this point
Moss if you know of anything I would appreciate your input

Hmm, maybe check if the script is executable.

Maybe a problem with the VM you are using. It's an early access and might have some bugs.

Thanks to you Push2 shines with Bitwig. This is the one and only controller for Bitwig! Your achievement is very remarkable!! I have two suggestions:
1) it is nice to be able to change colors and fonds, but I cannot save these settings, or can I?
2) wouldn't it be nice to be able to start group tracks from session mode (if the subtracks contain clips)? Now I need to dive into the group track to start the clip in the subtrack and then get to the higher level again to find another clip to trigger. It works in Bitwig, so should be possible, I think.

The settings are saved automatically when you close the application. If that is not the case make sure that the folder of Push2Display is not write protected (= your user account needs to have write permissions) and that there is no write protected config file.

No, sadly not. That's still a hole in the API. But I also requested it.

Should I downgrade to a earlier version of java?

Not sure what you mean the script runs in BWS

The officially released version is 8u66.

I ment the startup script: "run.command"

My Push no longer seems to respond to the script. I fear that I might have gotten things into a bit of an inconsistent state by updating the scripts, removing the Push controller from the Bitwig preferences, then re-adding the Push without restarting Bitwig. That would be strange, but it's a working theory. The other theory is that it is somehow in conflict with the Launchpad XL script, but they were both working together previously.

Neither of the theories sound very reasonable to me, to be honest. Maybe someone else has an idea of what's going on. I've got the latest stable version of the script installed in the right location. Adding the controller I can also see the option for Push 2, which shows that it's a newer version than the one I had previously.

I also just tried removing the "intermediates" I had in the OS X Audio MIDI Setup, but connecting directly to the user port in Bitwig doesn't change anything.

The Push is just blank (or with the "Please start Live" message). I can confirm it is working as expected in Ableton Live though.

EDIT: I should mention that I am on 1.3.6-rc1 and OS X 10.10.5.

Do you see any errors in the script log window?

Ah, that's a great suggestion. I will check tonight! Thanks for the quick response, moss :)

Hi ! As also mentioned on youtube.

I will try the script tonight when I get the new push2. One question. Is it possible for the drum maschine to change the pitch of the selected individual pad/sampler with the knobs? From the video I understand it's only possible to change volume and pan of the pad with the knobs. (on the nectar panorama it is possible).
Also it would be great to add the sample length selection and filter to the same page as drum maschine volume and pan.

Great work and this would be a great addition (if not already implemented)

Hi moss..

When start a clean project and you put a drummachine on first track, no problem.
But when in track mode and you "dive" into the drummachine to edit pads, push doesnt refresh its display or something.
When trying via device mode same thing.
(it started when you updated the script with the option that you can "dive" directly into edit mode from track mode.)
But when i put a polysynth on second track and select that track and turn a knob it give me on screen notification i turn knob of polysynth. :clown:
So somehow it hangs on the drummaschine screen on push.

Hope it,s clear and you can reproduce it.

Thnx in advance!

Sven.

Edit: bitwig 1.3.5 with the latest stable script version 7.22 and PUSH-1 !!!

Edit :D 2: Hmmm it seems it solved itself? Strange... because i could reproduce it a couple of times today and evn bitwig closses itself a couple of times ,and now i try and try and it doesnt appaer anymore. :o (so forget it this one for time being, I could delete post but i didnt, cause i swear it happened a couple of times.) Ill check out more. :clown:

Hi!
Yes thats possible! You can control the whole sampler on the pads with the push.
If you dont like the mappings you could even make your own lay out with device mappings.
I for instance didnt like the first page of drummachine so i reordered it so everytime i dive into a pad i got my favorite/most used parameters in front of me on push.
Press device twice and you,ll see: device, fixed, direct.

I love it to have it on device all the times so i can reorder it to my likings, even your vst,s.
Incredible versatile and handy  :tu: . So everytime you load up a vst its mapped to your likings in parameter page. (dont forget to save your mappings  )

Hi, i just bought a used push1 controller and installed it for the use with bitwig. I ve noticed some lags from time to time when you change for example from scale mode to another like track overview.(1-2 seconds) sometimes it feels like push lost his self and find his self after a few seconds back.
Sometimes he just hangs up.
I 've tried today push in combination with ableton and the handling is real smooth.it change for example automatically in drummode as soon as he detected a drumkit.

I m a bit disappointed in a respectful way because jürgen you really did a great job implenting all the functions play/scale modes ect ect.

Is this a bitwig problem? Or does the problem sit in front of the Screen.

I m on bitwig 1.35 and dl the latest zip from your site

Excellent!!! I just installed my push2 and playing with it :) Yes, I know the device mappings and using it with my panorama already. Now I will modify so that it matches my push2 :).
