My ST4 standard USB shipped today (feb 28)and should be here tomorrow Mar 1).
Someone mentioned that I had to pay Florida state tax 7% because IK "has a presence" in Florida.

Thanks for the review What are your thoughts on the chromatic percussion, Rhodes/EPs, orchestra and choirs?

I just listened to those a few minutes ago. The chromatic percussion basic samples are quite clean and full - they really did a stellar job capturing all of the new sounds, I would say. The vibrophone and marimba are very good, and the glockenspiel, of all things, kinda blew me away with its realism (invoked nightmares of Christmas parades long since gone!)

There are two new EPs in ST4 Standard - a 1973 tine based EP (Rhodes, I assume?) and a 1974 Wurlitzer. The Rhodes is very nice and can be warm or bright. The Wurlitzer seems a little flat to me, but maybe I'm just not a wurly guy and I certainly didn't spend much time with it. There are lots of patches for these two EPs, but I'm pretty sure they are the same samples with different effects chains and some of the parameters tweaked on the edit page.

Other than a tenor and a baritone sax, which I was surprised to find were as good or better than the renown Independence Pro "Candy" saxophone library, there is nothing new in ST4 standard for woodwinds. There are no orchestral strings at all (other than the ST3 standard strings). There is a trombone and a trumpet in the brass section, which I would assume are on par with the saxes, but I haven't tried them. I use more synths and tend to do some of my own sound design. I did find the ST4 engine editing features and effects breathed a lot of new life into Philharmonik 1 strings, which are more than sufficient for me.

Independence Pro has been my mainstay for years - it's a beast but can do some amazing things if you get your head around it. Some of the samples are definitely dated by today's standards though. I've used this, bolstered by ST3 SE edition, Philharmonik 1 and some carefully picked NI products for a few years. However, between acquiring Syntronik Deluxe and ST3/ST4 Standard, I think it is safe to say Indy Pro will now start gathering some dust.

Is there a solution to the missing .pak files yet? For me it's some of the piano sounds that don't load. I updated everything to version 4.02, also the sounds.

There should be no missing .pak files at this time. 4.0.2 + sound library updates should have resolved any sound library issues reported. Have you reported your issue to IK Support so they can see what is happening in your case?

Yes - the Black LP is quite versatile. I’m working on a demo right now using only instruments new in ST4 Standard. I’ll post it when done and detail the instruments used. Should be 100% ST4 Standard sounds and effects.

See my reply above as there should no longer be such an issue post-4.0.2. If you still have issues after installing the sound library updates and 4.0.2 released yesterday please work with IK Support (or continue to do so) as they will be able to assist you directly with the issue you are having.

Hi I understand it can be frustrating to wait for something you've ordered, but I assure you orders are being fulfilled and you should get yours soon. Pre-orders started mid-December and we've recently released (and posted some fixes which will be included on your USB stick) so it won't be too much longer.

We are sincerely thankful for the anticipation and the many pre-orders and are replicating and shipping USB / boxed orders as quickly as we can. Thank you.

I just set my autocorrect a certain way and it takes over. You should read the uncorrected version!!! Sorry, I had to use that one sometime and it seemed like you wouldn't get too offended over a corny joke.

Seriously, that's not a huge rant or undeserved since these really need to keep going out faster faster faster to get to you all and I know it wasn't personal. I know I'm considered a real PITA to the folks that keep replicating and getting these out to the warehouse for shipping at the moment, so I hope that at least gives you a little more comfort.

How are the USB sticks being delivered in the US? By fed ex? Overnight? Second day?

Hello Everybody!
I use Logic Pro X on Mac Pro.
I have Syntronik, St3, St4 MAX. So.. there is my problems with it:
Number1:
I installed st4 max install all of the SampleTank 4 sound libraries, all updates, set location of st3, st4 library - but error with 1973-1974 electric piano sound bank (see in attach). I don`t see this sound bank (1973 Stage Electric Piano) in my folders. Where can I get it or how to fix this problem?

Number 2:
Some of Syntronik files ask to authorisation (??) when I enter authorisation data - nothing happens. And files like this appear in the list with grey colour (see attach).

Number 3:
In left column "Library" locked all Syntronik synth. When I press on it - open browser with page to buy this synth (remind - I have Syntronic and I was set the location library for it) (see the attach in next message). But St3 "see" this synth and all work there..

Number 4:
In ST3 in the column "Instrument" ST4 max is locked. When I make authorisation - there say that I have no bought sound data ))
