No one got sued. But, there was a conscious decision to dial back the look to make it more of a hybrid AT2 look as opposed to as if it was the real thing... of course with products like Ampeg SVX which are actually done WITH Ampeg you get an exact look... which makes a lot more sense if you think about it.zebedy wrote:I agree, the lack of a foot controller really sucks on that Stomp. GR2 controller looks the better choice, unfortunately I like AT sounds better. Also I want to know what happened to the AT2 interface graphics. Is this what the delay is about?Amps look better, stomp boxes look worse. My theory is that it looked too much like the real thing before (fuzzface, tubescreamer etc.) and they got sued by Ibanez or MXR.
Just my conspiracy theory
By the way, the lack of foot expression pedal on Stomp IO is on purpose. It is made up for by the ability to choose a much higher quality foot pedal than you normally find onboard but also the bigger news is that you have the ability to hook up SIX of them!!! So, this is more of a pro piece from that standpoint. Also, let's not forget that you can control the entire plug-in from the foot controller without the need for a monitor or mouse. That is HUGE! It is like a control surface for guitar players. It is pretty exciting!
