They'll have to rename their company ...

there was obviously some kind of misunderstanding on Future Music´s end, so let me clear this up: Kore is not a DSP-based system - the instruments and effects are processed in the software on the computer. The hardware that comes with Kore is a combined controller / audio interface.

If Kore would use its own DSPs to process the plugins, this would introduce additional latency in the first place - not exactly what you would want for a system that is also specifically designed for live use. Not to mention the impact it would have on the price.diverdee wrote:Oh well - that doesn't sound much better then, ne'er mind eh.
Apart from that, Kore has several features that can greatly reduce processor load.
We will disclose more details within the next few weeks, so this should become much clearer by then.

that's true - reason I dont use my pulsar in stc mode all that much.
does sound interesting i guess, for live performers.
don't mind my facaetiousness (spelt wrong? - probably bah)

Bigger controller with more knobs please, at least 32, as a separate and more expensive version. Also 32+ buttons (that are free to be assigned to whatever).Tobias @ NI wrote: Apart from that, Kore has several features that can greatly reduce processor load.

Tobias,
You seem to be in the know
and I have a question is the Kore a DAW Control as well or JUST Kore Software only? The reason I ask is a have limited room on my desk and i'll have to go to a different midi controller keyboard (shorter depth to accomodate the Kore Controller So I may very well be able to have a Kore and small Keyboard or a remote SL 61 for example but unfortunately not both). Also when you guys say control of third party effects and plug-ins does that mean say... ALL of logics effects and plug-ins? Can this thing be a MIDI Controller by itself etc. One more question can plug-in effects be controlled and automated with the Kore controller and then switch back to the instrument. These are the questions I was hoping to get answers for in Chapter 3 but.... well no go. I am very excited about Kore and the order it bring from chaos!
You seem to be in the know

Does Kore have the same soundcard as RigKontrol 2? If so, can it be skipped?

Nothing is wrong with Kotakt Kontakt2 rocks! and the new Tutorial DVD is out. It's nice the developers are starting to look closer and developing scripts.
Man KORE just (so far) seems awesome!
