So in the current beta we have done some CPU optimizations, especially on Mac. Screen redraw and meters are much better. But we have not yet added true dual proc/core support. This is obviously something we want to add sooner rather than later; it just hasn't been done yet. But I just talked to our developer and we will be looking into it in the very near future for T3 since we are still a little ways off from our release plan of early next year at NAMM. The feedback from this thread has really helped us to see how important a feature that is for our user base and we will do our best to get it into T3 at its initial release. I'll of course keep you posted.

I can totally live with that -- Even with T2 I have to use a helluva lot of plugs before it maxes my Pressler 940 -- with all the workflow enhancements I will be in heaven. Just don't rush it. I'd rather have a stable tested initial release without SMP-support, and then an update. But if you think you can make it, go for it

We only started hearing about it (never mind buying them) about a year ago. Most of the requests for dual-core support have been made by yourself, so of course you remember those threads. 
Multi-core support hasn't been ANY software company's priority until their current generation of releases. Yeah, I want it, too (I just got my dual-core CPU), but it's hardly been an avalanche of demands, and has only recently gotten this amount of push for it.
Historically, you are someone who's always on the cutting edge of computer hardware technology. It's in your blood, it seems. But I would venture that the majority of us aren't quite as 'in the loop' and certainly haven't been aware of the pressing need for multi-core for as long. Yeah, Mackie are seemingly a bit behind, I'll give you that. But responding positively and indicating that it has become one of their priorities is something. I can't imagine for a small dev team that it's easy to juggle between feature requests and engine-level programming. Everybody in the world has multiple sets of priorities, and if things other than dual-core support have been at the forefront of their minds for the last while, then so be it. I'd rather see focus on a task and then moving to the next task, rather than spreading yourself out so thinly that NOTHING ever gets done. They didn't focus on dual-core. But when they get more development cycles freed up by clearing out older work, they can move to it. Seems like the way to approach development, to me.
