Waldorf Largo + Blofeld: free + commercial patches

I found a new bank from vsti-sounds. It looks very good! What do you think? Im gonna buy it, it sounds better than Electro waldorf web, isn't it?

I just purchased the bank. It took some time until i recognized it but better late then never. I will give a short review when i got the patches.

Finally i found some time to test the patches of the soundbank from vsti-sounds.com. IMHO the leads, pads and basses are excellent, the rest is average. Most of the sounds are VA sounds, only few use the wavetables. Having some more excellent VA sounds for Largo is OK but it's not Largo's main territory. Having two commercial soundbanks for "minimal electro" for Largo should be enough for that category for some time...

I hope that some sound designers will do a "pads only" bank like himalaya just did for Alchemy (BTW one of the best soundbanks ever... IMHO of course!).


BTW with a "bass only" bank my need for Largo basses (together with the two minimal electro banks" is "satturated":

I did a quick "walk through" with the patches of Sounddivines "Spacetime" bank for Largo and i must say that i am really impressed !!
This bank really showcases what Largo is capable of, there are only a few "bread & butter" sounds if that's what your after. Most patches make use of all those "special" features of Largo like wavetables/wavescanning (real wavescanning, not only one wave!!), Comb filters, FX, ARP and the step sequencer (can be found in LFO3 !!). Some patches even use a combination of all those features which makes them sound almost unreal.

Most of the patches are Pads, atmospheres, FX, synths, keys and arp/seq sounds. Only few basses and no leads but there are already enough available in the available free and commercial soundbanks.
OK, i admit that you never could have enough lead sounds (and pads !!).

My conclusion so far is that this bank is really excellent and most of the sounds will be difficult to reproduce in other synths, at least not in "normal" VA synths.


PS: with 25$ the price is not too high and with a discount coupon (for former Soundsdivine customers) you get even 35% off. That way it's a real bargain.

PS:
In the last 6 weeks i purchased 4 soundsets from Soundsdivine.com, two for Strobe (Synth Squad) and one for Largo and TimewARP 2600.
IMHO all of those soundsets are excellent and far from being "usual".

Excelent presets... these take the juice of the synth...

Even although I always like to make my own presets first I realize there are other talented guys out there that really know their job...
