Can i only effect Audio tracks ? as obviously you don't get midi/instrument tracks in the side chain drop down menu.

i am aware that you can use it on softsynths by using it as a direct insert however that way you can't control it via midi.

if this is the case then the manual is very confusing as it semi-tricks you into thinking you can use this on Audio and softsynths, when in reality you can only using it on audio tracks if you want to control it via midi.
Just use the Plug-In from the Midi controlled AU effects, it's a seperate folder in Logic for all Midi controllable Plugs. Then use sidechain input to route Audio into stutter edit.
It would appear we are not on the same page , my post wasn't about effecting audio tracks it was about effecting soft-synths.

there is no soft-synths in the side chain menu , it's looks as it you have to send the soft-synth to a Bus then choose that Bus from the stutter side chain menu in order to effect it , I just thought there might of been a easier way of doing this.

Yes, it's always been that way in Logic, only Audio tracks and Busses appear in the side chain menue

Maybe in a future update I'd like to see a global volume on stutter edit ( unless there is one and I've missed it ?)

Because in a studio senario I feel some of the presets a far louder than the original source material , I'd like a volume to match the 2 up.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. Another feature I'd like is a direct/effect balance. As it stands, if I want to throw in some stuttering delays while keeping the dry signal present, for example, I have to use two copies of the track. Maybe it's there and I missed it?

A really really good point. This is the only problem I've encountered while demoing.

There is an option for dry amount in each snapshot, but not globally...

I bet you slay them down the Oxford Union with debating skills like those. Or maybe you just want to tell us you're big in the Teabag movement: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 89#4382589

You didn't want go for the "your grandmother smells of wee" option, or "see that turd on the floor, that's you that is" as well? Truly disappointing.

I hadn't noticed that, but yeah, I was thinking of a global balance. It would be nice if it could be assigned to the modwheel as well. I'm going to dig deeper into Stutter Edit later today, so I'll take a look for the snapshot dry levels - that may just do it for me anyway. Thanks!

BTW, checking out your patch bank demo now - cool stuff!

Thank's - after opening the demo for the first time I decided to release something for it, totally spontaneous decision...

While playing a glitch sequence from your midi controller you can pretty much grab the buffer and throw it all over the place with the MOD WHEEL.

:-o :-o :-o :-o

Just incase you didn't know! :o

tried it, it really sucks that there is no automation possible (i mean, even in ableton i cant map anything to it, really sucks to HAVE to use a MIDI keyboard to control it, they should at least have CC# for the parameters instead of lame 2 bar "scenes"

way too expensive for way not enough controls

sounds damn good tho, its a shame

A pitch shifter module will be awesome...

Another little demo/remix I threw together this evening using "No One Knows", a song that I wrote with Aliciya Angel. Stutter Edit was used on the vocals, and all the drum fills were created using it as well. Not the best mix, but I may work it into a full version at some point.
