Yes. Metro SE is basically a starting point.

If you use plug-ins, the output of those will be 32 bit float and the mixing will be done at 32 bit float before being converted to 16 bit. If you just have 16 bit audio files everything will be mixed as integers.

If you are on a Mac, it sounds like you would be more interested in LX. LX will output 32 and 24 bit audio. Are you on a Mac or a PC?

Switched to PC years ago, and that's why I moved to Cubase and now Reaper. All those years without the Metro "Sections" has been quite frustrating.

Metro LX for Windows would have been perfect.

I could make LX available for Windows. It is working right now. I would just have to do an installer and add it to the store.

I took one more look at the feature comparison chart between the versions...is there no plug-in automation in LX?

Yes that is correct. I think you would really need the full version.

I downloaded the full demo and found the automation lanes, so that would be the best version for me. Amazing how much of the interface is still second nature to me.

The "velocity stems" feature is also sorely missed.

To see the place where to put the coupon, you must first create an account with the store, then add at least one item to your cart. Finally, when you checkout, you will see a field near the bottom of the screen that reads 'Do you have a promotional code or discount coupon?'. This is where you would enter the coupon code.

Today, in the spirit of the new year, I am giving away two products for free. Metro LX and Metro SE. Metro LX is Mac Only. After the winner is announced on this thread she/he can receive their prize by first private messaging me their email address and then sending an email to info at sagantech.biz with that email address.

The winners will be the third and sixth posts after this one in this thread.

IMPORTANT: if a user posts consecutively two times in a row that user will be immediately disqualified and none of those posts will be counted. Any previous winners are not eligible and their posts will also not be counted.

The first winner will get a choice of LX or SE and the second winner will get the leftovers.
