This is what I was going to suggest. The original version has some advantages (and maybe is better for mixing). If you get crackles, the easiest solution is to increase
your audio card buffer size. Flx works on relatively long
audio frames, which can sometimes interfere with very short
latencies...
Is it possible to have both the new and original version on the same machine?
I'd really like that because they are quite different. The old version was designed differently and I found on my machine with 256 samples buffer setting, I could use it on tracks. Plug-in latency was high, but not nearly as high as the new version and it didn't consume as much CPU. It would be great to have access to both.
