There'll always be unhappy users of software XY on the internet. Because it features a good platform to express your anger about things you could easily change by not keeping on feeding money to the "greed machine". And to try to influence other people of course, which might even be the main motivation (or most probably, apart from trying to profile yourself). Because frankly, it's all in your own hand. But that's probably too boring, isn't it?ZINO wrote: If you don't bother to open your eyes you will see that there are countless of unhappy $teingberg users all over the internet.

Back when Steinberg raised the prices i changed the DAW. Seeing the upgrade prices now (like 6.5 to 7 or 7.5) im glad i did.
There are enough alternatives this days so Cubase 8 release date? I don't care anymore.

You decided for yourself, that it's too expensive for you, and you don't want to support that, and took the right decision. I really don't know where all this bla bla should lead to, it's that simple. You don't like Steinberg? Tell them to f*** off by not buying their products. Because that's where it's gonna hurt them (and will be satisfying for you, because you don't support something which you decided is not worth supporting). I don't see that a lot of people do that though, as raising your prices is a sign of a business running well, not bad.valerian_777 wrote:Back when Steinberg raised the prices i changed the DAW. Well, maybe they regret it already seeing the last sales for Halion Sonic2 etc. which was 50% off on Valentines day. Sure, i dont know if many user switch, i'm glad i did.. ..more money for GAS (the money i didn't gave them for the update from 6.5 to 7.5 i got Serum and PSP Xenon for example) Thats a great feeling.chk071 wrote:You decided for yourself, that it's too expensive for you, and you don't want to support that, and took the right decision. Ok Ben. I don't like to mute anyone but I'll stay away from trouble.

Already did - sadly, it's still the same people over and over.Ben [KVR] wrote:Guys, give it a rest. Just mute each other.
Thought thanks for your time, Ben.
Can we please go back to "speculating" now?
The "elephant in the room" is still Nov/Dec 2014.

I use Studio One together with FL Studio. I dont need all features of Cubase and there are always different ways to reach what you have in mind. It isn't that i need the same features in every DAW nor i would find anyway.

Never encountered this one...TheoM wrote: There was certainly never anything like pressing f3 to close mixer would crash it bug from cubase 7.xx version (can't remember precisely which one), and there never will be.
But you can't compare reason and cubase, imo. Reason is really good at what it does, but cubase is lightyear ahead in terms of ease of use. The real reason strengh, imo, (and that's why i use it), is its regular homeruns : soul school, disco school, radical pianos, electric pianos, thor...
And Reason is a kind of sidekick, not a main contender. Propellerhead do not have to fight against pro tools, logic, etc (you name it). It works besides.
