Excellent idea. This one makes me excited.firepile wrote:This.operator wrote:+1 for XY-Pad with motion capture (record the movment of the XY Parameter in different time divisions e.g. 8/1, 4/1 or 1/1)

Yup...Rob Papens RAw has done a good job with this

Something like Melohman? Don't know how it works but it worksUrs wrote:Even patch morphing if someone can explain how to morph parameters that are not continuous (filter types etc.)
Personally I think that something like bazilles tapmap would be great to first screen. Then it could be used as mod source OR osc waveform.
And that sequencer could still be a bit longer

+1 for cat pics.Aiynzahev wrote:Cat pictures, updated daily. Options for cats in space theme.
OR
Another Hive, with another Hive inside it's hexagon, and so on ad infinitum. This is where GUI resizing comes in handy.

This could be a real help (especially because of the parameter "offset") to inform our programming to avoid over-saturating (or "topping out") the parameter with a given CC. Good one, Howard!Howard wrote:My choice? The 3 MIDI performance sources most likely to be missing from people's rigs: Aftertouch, Breath and Expression.

Those "3 MIDI performance sources" are better suited to the KEYS panel, so Hexagon page 1 is still free for... maybe a mapping generator, as Lejurai requested ( good ideadlandis wrote:This could be a real help (especially because of the parameter "offset") to inform our programming to avoid over-saturating (or "topping out") the parameter with a given CC. We need fourth screen. One for tapmap and one for thisho66it wrote:+1 more!tedlogan wrote:Excellent idea. This one makes me excited.firepile wrote:This.operator wrote:+1 for XY-Pad with motion capture (record the movment of the XY Parameter in different time divisions e.g. 8/1, 4/1 or 1/1)

I'd rather see something like a unique X/Y pad than a Mapper. Undoubtedly my sound-design inexperience is playing a part, but I never really could get an understanding of Zebra's own ModMappers (though you could make excellent Chiptune sounds with the aid of it as demonstrated by many of 3ee's patches). Supposedly there are very versatile, so if Hive were to get one like Zebra or Bazille, hopefully there will be some help in the manual.
And shoot, if you can get more sound-design possibility out of practice with a Mapper than a X/Y pad, I'd immediately jump on it.

I love hive. I purchased it last week and it's a tremendous synth. I would like to see a search function for patches. There are so many and Imagine there will be many more. Without search, browsing patches becomes tedious. And since the names are not alway descriptive, having some meta data that we can search through would be a valuable feature.
in fact, why not make the third window in the main screen a quick search that either displays similar patches to what you have loaded up or a straight up search? hell, if we could get a preview of the similar patches that would be a huge bonus. probably not practice but it would still be cool.

I would love to see some genetic algorithms for preset generation in the Hexagon.
Think something akin to Sonic Charges Synplant. i.e, some interfce that allows you to pick one or more parent presets, and generates 6 (?) children form those, with a mutation rate that can be set by the user. This would be great for generating useful presets fast.
