Yes, there was. But the Camel Audio sub-forum has been scrubbed of all mention of it.
And, yes there was. On a personal level.
Two different things....

Well, tough luck then. That's why i never would make such a promise if i was a dev (or stick anywhere close to the "community"). So many unforeseeable things which can happen... like... getting taken over by Apple.
I mean, basically, with their vanishing here, Camel Audio look like complete arseholes now. Just because they were close to the community. That's how things can change from one moment to the other.

My point is this:
You either care about your customers or you do not. Cutting off most of them shows, in the end, you did not.

On the other hand, making a contract with Apple could actually show how much they care for their customers. I mean, with Apple in the back, they're much more likely to survive as a company than on their own. A non-disclosure agreement to remain silent about anything regarding your business, and cutting off the Windows clients (no idea how many of those are out there) is maybe a price you'll be willing to pay then.

Personally? No. Have been there already....

I forced a new "Refresh". It took forever, but it did eventually rescan everything.dirtboy wrote:Installed the additional content. Now Alchemy doesn't see any presets at all and is stuck at "refreshing library" Anyone else having this issue?
(btw, you can still see the presets, just not from the Browser for the time being.. use the GUI's title bar instead for now
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

As someone who bought Alchemy but hasn't owned a Mac in years, this is depressing.
I can understand their reasons, but it still sucks for the rest of us.
I used to be a hardcore Apple fanboy back in the day, and even worked at Apple for a while, which prevents me from completely hating them. Also, my wife is sort of a friendly casual acquaintance of Tim Cook, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy, far more than Steve Jobs ever was, so I can't bring myself to dislike him either.
I guess I'm fine without Alchemy.... There are plenty of other toys to choose from. Maybe not a perfect replacement, but no shortage of options.
As for jumping back into the Mac camp, I personally think Numerology is a far more compelling and tempting reason to do that than Alchemy 2.

Change section 3 of the Browse view from Genre to Sound Library. Then at the very bottom of the same popup menu in section 3 select Legacy Content. Voila!jacqueslacouth wrote:How exactly do you import the legacy libraries from my original CA purchases? I can't see it.
the truth is in there
