Minimonsta is 11 years old and it still sounds like the best VA to me.

The Legend is my current benchmark for Mini emulation, it's simply the best. Comparing something like the much older Minimonsta for authenticity can be frustrating. But I love the imperfection and see it as a monsta version of the mini I grew up listening to ELP and there's something to it's sound that just triggered that spirit so easily. If they would've just put a LXP class reverb, maybe people will see it differently. It has certain darkness which is so musical, warm and raw..with a bit of artifact which I like, as if the ESQ-1 has a Moog expansion. Love it as a vintage sounding VA. It also nailed some of Kitaro's mellow lead very nicely, the best out of my plugin collection.

Yes, they did.

I don't remember at all now under which circumstances... not sure if it was a campaign from Gforce, or from Novation, or something.

I got Minimonsta for free from the Novation thing.
It's way more than worth what they're currently asking for it on the sale price.
It was the first thing I got from G-force, but it also got me to spring for impOSCar2 during the current sale.

Hassle free installation, just enter your serial #, low cpu usage, good price, great sound,
and when I emailed them about something, I got the quickest response I've gotten from any company.
I'm a fan.
