Seems I missed a lot in this thread, but wanted to say thanks for the suggestions. We do have some Dr Z amps and cabs in AmpliTube, and I will send the request for more of those and the others in your list along to the team. Thanks!

Except that they've got some solid state amps that will do death metal in the right hands. (And not just the aforementioned MH500.)

There's plenty of amps manufacturers out there that have nothing in their line that will do metal. Fender has a few.

Fender would not be my first choice but with a decent OD one can get ample gain. Though not an old Fender I use to like playing through a Fender Hot Rod in a music store I worked at in the late 90's, I could get that thing cranking. I think a 6l6 is a decent power tube, I use the 6l6 or the 6v6 the most in my Frenzel Champ sportster and it it can get pretty heavy using the hi-gain pre but a bit softer edge that I can make up for playing in the pentode mode. I do this bypassing it's pre and using Frenzel DP1 HG with the Fender voiced input while still using all the tone controls from the champ sportster (it has a pull switch for a different presence control). I do it often for heavier rhythm guitar.

I'm pretty sure that in Amplitube the same tone could accomplished, I only have AT3 so I cant tell you how but AT does have enough options including various distortion and OD pedals, speakers, mics and what have you. If you want a good Fender tone and this has such tone then these look intriguing (again I have not tried it, but I think AT is good at creating great tones) and I am a bit curious about the new technology.

The thing is that this ISN'T the "only and only" world with that. If you are expecting to only use an emu of "x" to get "x" then probably, you should just use the real thing.

For example, the metal PA plug fronted to the S-gear "57" is plenty "metal" enough, but it depends on the cab you are using.

Again, I don't understand how with the insane amount of eq's, options and such it has to be limited, like some kinda clique.

Updated AC30 would be lovely.

Some Laney amps would be nice too... (especially an old '80s linebacker, so I could retire my physical one).

I still talk to people, you cannot load IRs into AmpliTube as the cab simulation is more than just IRs, and you can demo AmpliTube Custom Shop which is AmpliTube 4's engine but the amps, cab room, and some of the features are only available in the purchased version.

You can disable the cabs/microphones and use any cab sim you want if being able to load IR's is that important to you.

Sorry, what I meant is that you can't demo the full AT4 product. I can already do IR's in s-gear.
