Why per voice distortion is post-amp not pre-amp?
Deep answer: I don't know.

Superficial answer (possibly valid): The amp is processed together with filter, because only that way could we get the right sound for the feedback Repro-1 (Diva as well). It isn't visible on the UI just yet, but Repro-5 has the same feedback option. In order to make the distortion pre-amp it would have to be processed with the filter as well. This however is just that tiny bit too much - maybe just for now, maybe because, hmmm, CPU.
Superficial answer sound like very good explaination.
Also IMO per-voice drive really adds to the sound and makes it great. Please keep it in architecture.
Murderous duck!

It will be interesting to see how inexpensive/expensive or free the update will be for existing Repro-1 owners. Perhaps being overly optimistic, my spidey-senses are telling me it might be free.
Well, I don't think that it has to be. That said, just knowing Urs sense of fairness, I'd be willing to bet actual money that any upgrade cost will be less than or equal to the difference in price between the Repro-1 and the new bundle.

So, of course, free would be amazing.

Like others I got Repro-1 for 'free'. Again, like others, I'll be getting Zebra 3 for 'free'.

I hope U-He have enough new customers to compensate for the lack of income coming in from old customers.

I'm sure they have calculated for this though.

Urs said that the number of customers that got Repro-1 for free was fairly small. I didn't, I paid for it. But, yes, that's what I'm saying, it doesn't have to be free.

I'm thrilled for the launch of RePro-5. RePro-1 sounds so freakin good and the thought of being able to (easily) play pads... :tu:

Very exited !

Can't wait for an early beta to start making patches for this !

I can understand if Repro-5 is not free for existing Repro-1 owners. I would be willing to pay a bit extra if it sounds good (I anticipate it will). Though if Repro-1 and Repro-5 are the same product, how will you get regular updates if you don't elect to pay extra for Repro-5? I'm not sure how that would work. Now that I think about it, will it still be called Repro-1, or it will become Repro-5, or will be called Repro-1/Repro-5? It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Yeah, according to the video, it will be one product with two plugins.

We are asking ourselves the same questions. There is only one good answer, but we can not tell just yet.

Hi Urs,
which analog imperfections of the hardware are emulated in the Repro5:
OSC drift?
Env time diffs between voices?
Filter diffs between voices?
Portamento time diffs between voices?
( just testing the OPX which does all that :) )

As I suspected from your hints before and the videos from superbooth :-)
Yet I am sure, this being kvr, there will be some who will still find a reason to complain with that upgrade price.

"Repro" for the name perhaps?

Like I speculated earlier, I think Repro-5 will be a free upgrade for existing Repro-1 owners (otherwise I think it would be 2 separate products), though will the renewed interest in Repro-1/5 make the time investment worthwhile for u-he? I certainly hope so. I want to see u-he be financially successful; I know they can't give away everything.

I think Urs knows some mystery builds up the intrigue, which is fine by me. ;)

I don't think it will be a free update for existing owners. But it will be very, very, affordable.

Urs said in the video it will be a cheap "upgrade" and about 130-150$ standalone... nobody watched the video ???
