Meh. Not sure what all the fuss is about. It's decent to be sure, but there's nothing mind-blowing coming from my speakers that makes it a must-have for me. I prefer Serum to be honest.

With that said, I'm glad to see that so many here are happy about this being released as a VST. :)

What i find great in general is that Propellerhead gets into VST development. Hope other synths will follow, even though i'm not too interested in their older synths.

I would not mind seeing Thor and Malström and the others as vst plugins :) ..they also have some effect plugins in the rack that I would love to use outside of reason. I know there is rewire but I would like to get away from that approach because it's a bit messy.
Win 10 -64bit, CPU i7-7700K, 32Gb, Focusrite 2i2, FL-studio 20, Studio One 4, Reason 10

"THE INTRANCER" is just a troll who shows up to purposely say incendiary things like "all Reason synths sound low quality" or "you should get Zebralette instead of this."

He's just an attention whore trying to light flames all over the place. Ignore and move on.

As for Europa -- this is AWESOME news. I own Reason 10, so getting this free is a very welcome surprise, but really I'm just shocked this happened at all! Really didn't see it coming. I'm mostly using Renoise these days, and being able to load up Europa without re-wire is pure

Huge thumbs up Propellerhead! I love where this seems to be pointing, and I love, well, THIS (Europa in my other DAWs).

Good move Propellerhead!

Seconding the requests above also, would not mind seeing Thor, Malstrom, and even Kong.

This is fantastic! And the cpu usage is incredably low. I hope they do this with Grain.

Same situation here...

Serum has a crappy filter and can sound pretty digital. It sounds pretty harsh on my speakers in my room.

So then the demo either must be 32 bit or it's 64 bit gone terribly wrong. Because the only plugs the new Cubase blacklists are those that are 32 bit.

I have just tested it in Cubase 9 (Win 10 64bit) and it works great :) It is already working fine in Reaper as well

There are some minor bugs it seems, like when there is a user wave selected and I want to see others in the list, then click outside (where the yellow arrow below in the image for example), the original wave file is gone from the field!

Anyway, I'm very glad for this great step :D I hope they port other great synths/effects to the VST world. Really wish for Parsec2, PX7, Grain and Thor to be ported  Not so much about Subtractor and Malstrom as they need to be updated (soundwise) before they are ported.

I also checked the web version and it is mind blowing! How they did that?!! I mean there is no latency at all :o

IMO, sound quality is great for Europa. This synth, Grain and Parsec 2 are all with great sound in the same par with Serum and Thorn. Thor belongs to older generation and there is some aliasing in the sound. It still a good synth, but needs some updates soundwise. Still, Thor has much better sound quality than Subtractor and Malstrom. Anyway, those three have a wonderful GUI design and colours. It is pity just let them to die without an update.

Back to Europa! :D

This doesn't make any sense at all .

Personally I don't think Serum's filters are crappy, but I do agree that they're not as good as I'd like them to be. I'm hoping Duda updates them in the future though I'm not holding my breath.

And yes Serum sounds digital, that's why I like it. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. I already have enough virtual analog VSTs in my arsenal + 2 Korg Volcas and a Minilogue for those 'warm' analog sounds when I need them; so for me, Serum is a perfect contrast.

If you enjoy the sound of Europa then I'm happy that you're happy, it's just nothing special to me. :D

Huge thumbs up Propellerhead! I love where this seems to be pointing, and I love, well, THIS (Europa in my other DAWs).

I've owned Reason from 1.0 from way back in 2001, had every release up to 7.01, and used it solidly for 14 years before moving to a better daw. I have a bunch of RE's which have become an utter waste of money and I know what Reason instruments sound like. This synth sounds like Thor (and Thor enabled audio input), a synth created and released way back in 2007... it's nothing special at all, having used a huge number of synths, from those of VST type and those of Reaktors, Native Instruments...Razor anyone ?

And the GUI is just terrible and you can't change it. Whoever designed it, wasn't educated in colour theory from the looks of it because putting red lettering on black backgrounds is something you just don't do in interface development... and that's coming from someone with a degree in the profession. It doesn't even scale properly and that's not helped because it's designed in it's original rack format.

Why did Propellerheads make this available as a VST, because the RE market is pretty much dead now...

The first stage was bringing in VST, after years of proclaiming that Reason would never have VST's...Out comes RE's... a new revolution still stuck in the rack format... I got flamed for even suggesting REs were a dead loss and VST would be coming to replace it.. A few years down the line just to get users use to it, they bring out their propriety instrument in VST form lol.. whilst Reason rots with it's aging legacy and falls behind other daws in features....

I don't do company fanboyism whether I own their products or not, I'm a realist.. I see patterns, and understand how companies work, I tell how I see and hear things when it come to products, I'm not a troll.... But I know a few that play that roll..pretty well on KVR...but that's a different issue....
