Just to make sure, you don't have to own Reason to use this? It'll work in any DAW?

Wow! This is unexpected at all! But IMO is a very nice step as this is one of my favourite synths. Great synth indeed :)

I'm eager to see if it has a bigger GUI in VST format?! I really hope so. Although I can't see it in my account yet (it says free for Reason 10 owners! Nice gesture ;) But has anyone got it in his/her account for free yet?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I am running Reason 10.1 it isn't showing up in my account as of yet. I've checked VSTs, RE and everywhere else.

The Props read my mind... I really wanted this as a VST.

The license will get there eventually.

Regarding UI, the VST/AU version supports scaling, in 25% increments.

Try the demo first and see if it is working with your host.

There is also a web player version with patch loading and saving capabilities, pretty amazing!

So, downloaded the demo version. Gui is scaling, but I would like to see more like 15-20% scale. CPU usage is quite low, sounds is nice. Good synth. Maybe we see Grain next. However, I am surprised that this demo version didnt come with Reason regular Codemeter protection. Copy protection seems to be only a simple serial. This would mean that this will get cracked very soon. Maybe this is what Prop's want, to spread out Reason / Reason synths quality etc..? Weird move anyway :D But the synth is good. Much better to use it on +50% scale than trying to use those Reason own super tiny knobs.

Their site says that it works in any 64 buit VST/AU host.

That's some great news because Europe looks like a cool synth with many interesting features and apparenty a bit warmer sound than Serum or Thorn, I always thought what a shame that Europa was Reason-only.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Nicely done Propellerheads! This is very welcomed! When I saw the announcement, I immediately was thinking it more than likely wouldn't be free for existing users and there'd be complete outrage over it. Glad to see I was wrong... and also glad I recently upgraded to 10.1. :)

Europa in 10.0, the players and the free drum sequencer in 10.1, now Europa as a VST for existing owners -- keep 'em coming! I hadn't paid attention to Reason for years, but they've done a great job lately.

Maybe they'll released Thor as a VST.

I'm sure this is just the start. Thor, Grain and Parsec will surely follow soon

It is VST 2.4 Mac and PC. No VST 3 just in case that is important to you.
