hi guys, here it is my submission, was kinda on a funky mood:

https://soundcloud.com/crispysoucemusic ... -challenge

23 Vaporizer2 instances:

kick, clap, snare, closed hat, open hat, crash, main funky bass, sustained bass, 4 chords, 8 leads, pluck, violin and white noise.
Pretty much every sound is designed from scratch by me exept for the main bass and the first chords where I starded from a preset and then customized.

Plugins I used were basically only EQs, compressors, reverb, delay, transient designer and clipper.

Specifically:

DMG Audio Equilibrium as main EQ for everything

Acustica Audio Tiger Mix Ultra Flat for precise compression and sidechaining

Acustica Audio Mystic as Stereo Mix Buss compressor

Acustica Audio Spacecontrol for stereo image design on the stereo mix buss

Kiloheartz Transient Shaper for pushing the kick and snare transients

Kazrog Avalon VT-747 SP for some compression on crash and white noise

Native Instruments Raum as reverb

Valhalla Delay as delay

Standard Clip as clipper to cut transients tail on drum and stereo mix buss

Kiloheartz Filer for filtering automation on drums and chords

ADPTR Metric AB for monitoring dynamics and loudness in the final stage

I wanna compliment Tobia from VAST Dynamics for the very good job he is doing on this synth.

Especially on the EQ in the FX section.

With its fixed frequency knobs it is very simple to use yet very precise and clean, really remarkable IMHO, it sounds amazing when designing sounds and it gives you all the precision you need.

Honestly, to me, it's way better than the eq in serum.

I would say if you would make the interface be a bit fancier and modern and fix/improve some quality of life tasks such assigning envelopes, filters and LFO to the various parameters or navigating the wave tables it could be a big serum competitor!

Anyway great job again man, wish you the best!

Guys knowing your thoughts on the track would be appreciated, both good and bad, thank you.

Happy holidays and happy new year

Could you describe a bit more detailed what you mean with "per voice modulation"? Of course oscillatiors, filters, ... are already per voice and modulation sources like LFOs and MSEGs can be defined as global or per-voice. What is missing? Thanks.
Maybe create a feature request issue here (https://github.com/VASTDynamics/Vaporizer2/issues) and I will look into it next.

Ah, I mean per-voice-modulation using the external Bitwig/DAW modulators. This can be implemented via CLAP, e.g. U-He recently did this for a lot of their synths. If you switch any kind of Bitwig modulator to "poly" , let's say the ADSR modulator, and target a control of a polyphonic control, let's say the filter cutoff in Vapourizer, it could be actually polyphonic. So a modulation source from outside working in polyphonical way. I guess this requires some refactoring of the voice management though. Or the way the external parameters are processed.

Surge XT also supports it, maybe you can have a look into their sources - if you are interested to support this.

My entry: AI Winter Wonderland

AI Winter: A stalled period of AI development following a hype-cycle.
There were two major winters approximately 1974–1980 and 1987–2000.

AI Winter Wonderland: The hypothetical blessing upon humanity that was the Winter of 2024 - 2032 - which gave much needed time for society to adapt to the oncoming changes - allowing unprecedented peace and prosperity to all <3

My daughter insisted on the Kawaii theme for the image - which I think works well :)

Hey guys, I have reworked the mix, basically I applied maniacal EQ with DMG Equilibrium on every single track, drum buss and stereo mix buss and tweaked some compression with Acustica Tiger Mix Ultra Flat.

I really love this EQ, especially peak butterworth curves, so precise and clean!
Imo there is no game for pro-q3 and Kirchhoff, equilibrium sounds the best! (although pro-q3 to me is perfect as de-esser)

I also tweaked a bit the arrangement.

Now the track is on another level, let me know your thoughts!

Kudos again to Tobias for Vaporizer!

Here's this month's effort:

https://soundcloud.com/violator-alba-99 ... al_sharing

Created in Bitwig Studio 5.1 using seven instances of Vaporizer. All patches created from init. I found the synth's effects to be pretty good (to my ear) so there was little need for external effects. The following plugins were also used:

- Audio Damage Dubstation on a send for the dubby delay
- dpMeter5, Blue Cat's Gain3 & KClip3 on clip to zero duty on each track and buss
- Mastering the Mix BASSROOM and MIXROOM on pre-master for a wee bit EQ
- IK TR5 One mastering processor
- Mastering the Mix LEVELS
- Sonar Works SoundID Reference during mixing/mastering to correct headphones (disabled for rendering)
- Many instances of Scaler 2 with output rendered as MIDI

"Another year has passed on this damned planet. Another year of sleepless nights, constant stress, panic attacks, headaches and tired eyes. Standing by the window, watching jets fly by, like my lifetime years slipping away before me. Please, don't ask me when it's going to end. It all takes the whole eternity already, no signs of peace and no chance of resolution. We cannot bring back our past, but do we have a future? It seems like we are stuck here forever...
My life would've been a bit easier if you would be on my side, but I know that I'm asking too much. If you are curious where I am now, go to the district 171. I used a few of my spare hours before the new year to create this soundscape. While not being a fan of instruments like that, I've enjoyed some of the factory sounds.
