Congrats Urs and team this is just monumental.
Looks great. Sounds phenomenal. I've gasped many times when finding surprises and rabbit holes to explore for many years to come.
Please, I beg you, consider adding an arp/sequencer. It's crucial for people making soundsets. At least the one from Repro or Hive but something as advanced as the one in Serum 2 would be fantastic. I know you can accomplish a lot with MSEGs etc but end users who buy soundsets don't really want mess with any of that.
The synthesis stuff is even beyond what I had imagined but I gotta say I'm a little disappointed about the reverb and distortion modules. I was really hoping for a full blow revamp. Hopefully you'll consider adding more algos and settings over time.
BTW the manual doesn't mention it but what is the Burn module? Looks like it's meant to burn CPUs?
Anyway, enjoy some weeks of holidays!
Thank you for the best Christmas present ever

somehow this is not the case with me. i have a z2 license and bought dark zebra on their upgrade promo. anyone else experiencing this?xx JPRacer xx wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 2:42 pmThere's no upgrade path from Zebra Legacy. Only for original Z2 users ($30 upgrade) or Z2 + Dark Zebra (free). If you only want Z3 then get that directly.ilyandily wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 2:38 pm This is incredible news! I do have a quick question about Zebra 2 Legacy and the upgrade. I have only ever used zebralette and only own a Diva license from U-He. If I bought Zebra 2 Legacy today what would the upgrade path be to Zebra 3? From the wording is seems like it would be free? But Zebra 2 Legacy is only $99 so I must be missing something. Either way I will be buying it I just want to make sure I do it smart, haha. Thanks again U-He, yall are the BEST!
BTW $ is euro, I don't know where the euro sign is on my kb.

Urs has already said this will be coming after the initial release...
So yes, they plan to add these.

Crash on Win11 in Bitwig 5.3.13 using the Clap version when playing two notes on a midi keyboard and changing between guides and curves on the Osc 1 page while Spectral decay is enabled
Edit doesn't always trigger but adjusting the Morph knob on the Osc1 panel seems to trigger it reliably when in Curves mode
Also deleting the track it's on with the UI up leaves the entire UI intact (This may be a Bitwig bug if I recall)

Well, I've just spent the whole afternoon exploring all 300 of the presets, and I have to say about 290 of them are amazing
And at least 20 of them were so jaw-dropping that I found myself muttering 'how the hell did they do that?' and scrutinising the 'Synthesis' page for clues...can't say as I'm much the wiser for that but I haven't even read the manual yet
No crashes (although I haven't done any heavy editing), it's a little bit slow to open and close, and maybe a couple of patches which crackled (a little) with sustained four-note chords, but I'm certain that multi-core support will fix that.
I expect you'll be pressured into adding a 'conventional' arp/sequencer at some point, but I can't say that I've missed it. Some of the sequenced presets I heard this afternoon I'd be hard-pressed to replicate with a conventional arp/sequencer. Speaking for myself, I think I'd rather figure out the arp/sequencing methods that are already there, and I'm usually lazy when it comes to editing/creating patches
I'm particularly pleased with the physical modelling capability - I've been looking forward to pensioning off Chromaphone for a long time now
- but I'm going to have a good read of the manual now and try to figure out some of the more mind-bending patches.
Congratulations Urs and everyone at u-He, and thanks for such a ground-breaking instrument. I think you've set the bar pretty high with Zebra 3.

Think I kinda solve crackling issue , ubuntu CPU governor utility kept my frequencies at 1200mhz that was peaking very quick and zebra 3 definitely doesn't like it and it was producing noise, but I managed switching to performance mode 3.4Ghz.. and now 90% patches run ok, but "Architectural Glass" preset is like a TANK in terms of mass.. couple of notes one after another and it gets messy again..

Just been playing for an hour. It's incredibly good and COMPLEX omg. I have a few questions:
What's the Burner module?
I'm starting reading the manual, and in Page 16 it says about a Templates folder, yet there's none in the Zebra 3 Local folder except MIDI Programs and Beta Collection, is that correct or a bug of mine?
Anyway, great synth so far, I'm glad I memorized the OSC FX modules, cause it's really complex haha

Hi to the U-HE Team! Z3 does not only deliver awesome sounds, it’s also a visual treat! Congrats to the team, and a huge thank you!

if your heater isn't working, you can use the Burner module to heat up your CPU and thus create an alternative to your heater
