I already posted my opinion in the other thread, but this makes it easier for me to track with a "view your posts" button.
So the short version-- I think it's brilliant strategy, and am not upset in the least.
I'm not entirely sure I'd want to see a 'TracktionFree' as the new CM coverdisc software unless T2 is staggeringly better and TracktionFree is even a bit more feature-reduced. But then again, perhaps it'd be a good one. I almost bought Muzys based on the CMuzys program even though I didn't care for it, so you never know....
Thanks for stepping into the forum, Ben. It's ugly in here sometimes.

Me, too! You keep that lad well-fed and warm for us while he's sequestered. We like him [Jules] too much.

Sounds like this is another distraction from the fact that T2 is still months away.
Nonetheless, it is a good promotion, obviously designed to stir up interest in Tracktion. I'll take advantage of it, certainly, and I know at least one person who I will tell about it.
Thanks for straightening things out, Beno. Very interesting and worthwhile marketing campaign.

mmmh , wonder why T1 customers have payed for it...
Didnt understand that marketing politics...
Another motivation for putting my license in "for sale".
Tracktion forum is more and more similar to Steinberg
one , customers are in a limbo....

Cheers Peter,
I have solved the problem by deletion. I consider myself no longer interested in T1 = sorted.

Not the reason - the reason is marketing - I get flustered when big errors take place like this.
Also I get pissed when the customer is not informed or given updates to things like the osx issue - its just the way I think.
I got T1 - its done a job (RM4 - I needed Drag n Drog working fast without a crash)
FL5 is out today - Its fixed - plus a few errors in the wrapper fixed and one heck of a lot of great updates - auto clips etc = me happy - T1 in the bin, job done! everyone can get on now - I have had a moan and posted my point of view in all T1 update threads, taken the micky out of them to be honest.
T1 for free is a gift - have fun with it and make music - it works, its solid. - just not for me having had it this long - and seen the forum, the updates, the way the customer is kept up to date, I dont need it.

So instead of getting his money's worth by using it, he decided to trash it? Thats like me driving my new car into a lake becuase the dealer decided to have a sale next month. Plus since he bought it he'll get a cheaper upgrade to T2 than the freebies. I really dont see the problem still. Maybe I'm just dense.TheWall wrote:
I believe he bought it just recently.
