True, it's not exact. And they're on hiatus. Nor is it exactly the same as Armadillo's...maybe if we ever get to the U.K. we'll have to be called Arkana X - and you can't go wrong with "X".

Sorry, I'll stop interrupting. Great music, btw, ARmadillo. :D

Holy shit, I don't believe it. My band's name is Arkana! :o
Duel to the death?
not this - http://www.answers.com/topic/arkarna - lot surely ???

slainte :?: rob
Wow. I'm f**ked. There are no names left. Maybe I need one of those ultra-cool names like, "Leave Your Mom at The Disco" or something.

All I can say is, we're guitar-based, alternative rock... :scared:
Ah, it's your OWN band. I somehow missed that point first time round. Yeah, hard to find a unique meaningful one word name these days. :bang:
Searching for "arcana" on MySpace brings up 13 hits, "arkana" only 4. :scared: indeed

Hey man, I just listened to some excerpts of your songs on your band's website. I am really impressed! It has a bit of Keane in it, and also a bit of Muse. But it sounds very original nonetheless. If you lived in The Netherlands (where I live) you'd be an instant hit!
Keep up the good work. Also, do you ship cd's to The Netherlands?

Just finished my 2 hours Radioplay "PaprikaTown".

I went a little overboard since this crap won't fit in the album booklet.
I really did try to credit every single freeware plug I used and link every dev whose plugs are on my albums. It's about 4 hours of unabashedly daft music.

You can't actually buy them unless you manage to come here to the land of ten thousand lakes but you can:
  • 1) assemble all the tracks together on all the free download sites I have em stashed on

    2) go here and buy them (no one has yet, so I've no idea if they'd really send me money) but I'll always keep this site as it allows free streaming, has ringtones for 0.79 USD (! someday I'll buy one of my own) and allows album artwork downloads in .pdf format so you can print out your own little cd case sleeve (I've not finished that part yet...) and most of the bonus tracks aren't on there, either.

I play guitar for a metal band called 'Jag Panzer'. Yup, I'm a synth fanatic in a band with 2 guitars and no keys!

We have 9 albums available in lots of retailers worldwide, Amazon, iTunes, etc.

New releases include a double live coming this year. A remaster/reissue of our '97 release comes out in April of this year.

hello all,

Press Release info follows:

DiN26 - Obsessive Surrealism by Parallel Worlds

Release date 5th March 2007

Image

Parallel Worlds is the main project for the Greek musician Bakis Sirros. He has been active in the Greek electronic music scene since 1998 having performed at several concerts including E-PHOS electronic music festival in summer of 2001, Mad club, Club22 (2nd Summer in the city Festival), Music Day Festival 2006, Small Music Theatre and the Underworld Club. He is also involved with other muscians in collaborative work. The new IDM project "Interconnected" with the German IDM musician Ingo Zobel (of DRON, Signalform, Self Oscillate) and the ambient / experimental project "Memory Geist" with the Australian electronica musician Steve Law (of Zen Paradox, Starseed Transmission).

"Obsessive Surrealism" (DiN26) is his fourth album having previously released "Existence" in 2003 on Greek label Rubber Recordings and "Insight" in 2004 and "Far Away Light" in 2005 both on the UK label Shima Records. He has also had tracks included on several compilation releases.

Bakis is a great advocate of modular analogue instruments and indeed is the moderator for the Doepfer A100 modular users group. He has also been extensively involved with sound design for the UK analogue modular synthesiser company Analogue Systems.

The music of Parallel Worlds is a combination of dreamy, atmospheric textures and pure analogue electronic rhythms and sequences, combining the feel of 70's electronic music with modern electronica and ambient music. Sirros uses huge analogue modular instruments and analogue step sequencers of the past and present combined with digital FM, virtual analogue synths and sampling. However he manages to elude the fate of many of his contemporaries in not falling into the trap of simply recycling the past. He creates a music that lives and breathes, imbued with his own personality and mannerisms. At one and the same time familiar and fresh. Steady, organic rhythmic structures are overlaid with deceptively simple melodies that remind one of some lost John Carpenter soundtrack.
