However, you should prehaps consider that if my interpretation of your intent, your attitude, and your meaning are that easily misconstrued, given that they are addressed in situ and in local context, then your blanket statements and assumptions about the intent, attitude, meaning, method et.c. of the work of a large numbers of people's work in your original post and subsequent followups is far more grievously flawed and unsubstantiated.

Agreed, sure. But there is also a difference it interpretting it in the most negative way possible.

I knew this thread was gonna be a bit touchy. That is why I kept mentioning, "I dont mean to offened anyone", in my original post. My intentions where to point out the obvious and common practices in the genre, while not pointing fingers, which I have not done.

You are focusing on what this thread was NOT suppose to be about...

Never pointed blame here whyterabbyt. And I respect your point of views, just as anyones. I do think everyone is focusing on what is not my opinion but common methods of ambient productions. I'm just the one pointing it out, and bringing it to surface.

Please provide proof that it is common, that it is done to be 'cool', and that there is an increasing amount of music produced here that is done that way by people with that aim.

Its fairly obvious, isn't it? ... and please, I'm not speaking of KVR alone, actually that is just a very small fraction of it. Go to the record shops and see how large the ambient section has grown the past few years. Go look on online music sites ... and look how many ambient producers suddenly appeared.

Ambient like other genres have totally different meaning of said genre.
Ambient to me, is beautiful, sad, strong, soft etc. It envokes an emotion. The drone type is also ambient to some. Are we going to make this thread 12 pages?

So... Is ambient the new fashion or,,,
