Just curious.... "Rellik" ?!?!?!

I don't mind, since my name's not permanent (I'll need to find a new musical alias so that I don't conflict with everything else called "Rellik", of which there are alot).

I googled "rellik", and it seems there are lot of rellik things...
a "war inspired death metal band", a Second Hand Clothing shop in london , and a macro virus...

Maybe I should find another name...

I think the name needs to reflect the fact that the design (of what the plugin does, not necessarily what it looks like) is based around the guitar, so how about:

"Strummer"
"Joe" (as in Joe Strummer of the Clash ) or even "GI Joe" (for "Guitar Instrument Joe")
"StrumMate"
"ARGH" (for "Automated Right Guitar Hand")
"AutoStrum"
"StrumPick"
"StrumBuddy"

Anyone else got any ideas??

"GI Joe" is really funny, but i don't want to have lawsuits with Matel...

Maybe "GI joe strummer"
or "GI joe strumocasterator"
or "GUI joe"
...

so it doesn't sound very good for a french.

When thinking of your sequencer, one comparison that comes to my mind is playing "Air Guitar" where you use real fingers to play a guitar that doesn't exist except on the record that's playing. With your sequencer, "Air Fingers" play a guitar that only exists as a recording (the samples).

Keeping that concept in mind, you might develop an appropriate name. Some suggestions:

Air Fingers
Air Hands
Virtual Fingers
Virtual Strummer

i like it when you strum so hard the strings seem to bend out of tune,(helterskelter,i got blisters on my fingers!)i wish i could be more helpfull but translating the technicalities is making my poor brain hurt.
is there a provision for open strings,like setting the guitar tunings first?

sorry to go off topic a bit...

i also like that sound when the guitar is driven so hard and so loud that the sound seems to bend downward a little bit. do you know what i mean? some My Bloody Valentine stuff, and early Jesus and Mary Chain did that sound. i don't know what causes it though; maybe the amp cones getting to the verge of giving out, just can't vibrate at the right freq. at that volume...

Anthony, careful how you handle this... This thread is about one persons plug, don't detract. If you have something to offer, may I suggest starting a new thread with something a little more polite such as 'for those interested in the recent Guitar Strum plug (add url to the thread), you might like to try my app..'

Also mention if what you have done is VSTi/DXi/Standalone. Tread vary carefully! You have arrived here, and are already known and an established reputation preceeds you. Show a little maturity and respect this house.

(oh, and the chord naming is wrong.. Em7+11 has the notes EGBDA#, whereas EGBDA is Em7add11, just so you know!)
