Got it from PluginBoutique and, lo and behold, the price jumped to $29 indeed. Tricky.
Then I had to send in my Chromaphone 1 serial and now I'm awaiting delivery.
Was able to use virtual credit based on former purchases so I payed some $25 in the end.
But all in all this was not a straightforward experience and those fluctuating prices don't foster trust. On top of that you're always paying in UK currency at PluginBoutique, so there's an additional conversion fee to reckon with.
Should have simply gone through AAS :dog:

Yea I did straight to AAS and had everything up within a minute or so. Sometimes PB or JRR are worth the wait vs. cost...times like this, naw. Heh.

Opinions?

I feel like I have enough synths, for the most part. It's cheap, though, so I wonder if it's worth throwing into my toolbox, especially at this price.

What's included in the Sythmaster Everything Bundle? It doesn't say on JRR Shop.

You can check it all out at KV331 website. http://www.kv331audio.com/
Everything bundle include all preset packs and you can listen to them there as well. I have Synthmaster and I like it but I did not buy Everything bundle. I picked and choose those preset packs I liked. Synthmaster is not that difficult to tweak and make your own sounds.

Got the Chromaphone 2 update directly from AAS for $19. Not sure if that was a fluke or not. That's what it said on the checkout screen. Sweet!

I don't get all these St Patrick Day sales.

Obviously anybody is gonna spend their money on beer today, and not software :D

Synthmaster has been on sale for less than that during various holidays. I am not sure about the bundle. I bought the synth a long time ago for 40% or 50% off the "list" price.

The bundle has an incredible number of presets. If your main purpose for buying the synth is to learn it and roll your own sounds then this is overkill. If you just want to use presets then it might be worth the price.

I bought the Colin Richardson and Andy Sneap packs for EZ Mix 2 from Plugin Boutique. Not only did the price jump from $71.99 to $74.99 (which could've ended terribly for me because this came from my bank account through PayPal) but both serials are out of stock. I wanted to play with theses this weekend but I guess I'll have to wait.

These two things combined basically made for a bad consumer experience and I will not order another thing from Boutique ever again.

Post

Yep, PluginBoutique should get their act together and solve those price jumps.
Never had any problems with JRR Shop.

Post

If it helps at all, we have those Mix Packs in stock and can deliver immediately.

Yeah, I went through AAS as well, and I had everything up and running within a minute or so, too. Things always go smooth with AAS.

And they make great stuff!

I always go directly through the dev when I can, especially when it's such a small amount of money. I want the dev getting all of it.

I've even contacted a dev to price-match something if I see it cheaper elsewhere. They always do.

But I still buy from JRR, too; Uncle E is good peeps! :tu:
