I'm not sure I can pick one thing - the wavetables, unison drift, the new browser features and mod options... Too much stuff...Echoes in the Attic wrote:So what's the thing everyone is most looking forward to?
For me I think it's a tie between using my Trilian library with the new synthesis functions (enhanced FM/RM with wavetable sources) and obviously loading my own samples.
Omnisphere 2 is here! (yes, it's really here!)

1. Browser - search by mood & suggest similar sounds.Echoes in the Attic wrote:So what's the thing everyone is most looking forward to?

2. The lock thingy that allows you to apply the same settings to other sounds.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

For me it's the new pitch sliders in the arp, this is going to open up omnisphere phrase sequencing to a whole new level.
Next, new wavetables..yessss.
Then sample import of course
Can't wait

I wish they would make the arp available to other synth plugins.

I'd much rather use other synth arps (programmable ones), they are usually better. Omni arp doesn't even have tie/glide!Kaboom75 wrote:I wish they would make the arp available to other synth plugins.

That's simply not true...Echoes in the Attic wrote: I'd much rather use other synth arps (programmable ones), they are usually better. Omni arp doesn't even have tie/glide!

Ah, but that is simply irrelevant. Extending a note length in Omnisphere does just that. Makes the note longer. It does not tie two notes together to create a glide. In most synth arps when they have tie per step it means that it ties one note to the next (ie. there are two notes, not one).mholloway wrote:That's simply not true...Echoes in the Attic wrote: I'd much rather use other synth arps (programmable ones), they are usually better. I have to agree... the Omnisphere Arp is not very powerful. In V2 this might change a bit. But there are better ones out there. That said.... i can't wait to download my upgrade in a week

The truth is, there are few, if ANY, great ARPs incorporated into synths. The cost would be prohibitive.
Want a great ARP?
Get VSS 2.6 for Reaktor. Now THAT is an ARP. Complex as all hell, nothing it can't do, and it's free if you own Reaktor. I have yet to find one as powerful anywhere and certainly not incorporated into a synth.

Call me crazy but my favourite arp included in a synth is from Sunrizer. But i love this synth since years (from my iOS time). It has not tons of features but what it does is great for me. The best gliding arps ever
