If you had to stick to one DAW, which one would it be?

You need to spend some “redemption” time with some Italians like me

To clarify, I mean this:muzicxs wrote: Mon Aug 21, 2023 2:41 pmCan't you just setup the mapping once in Bitwig with all the midi devices that are available to you, save it as a chain and load it every time you want to use Addictive Drums?EnGee wrote: Sun Aug 20, 2023 9:46 pm The only things that I don't like in Bitwig (and Live) are:
1. No mapping for 3rd part drums. So, if I want to use Addictive Drums and do my beats with it, I choose either S1 or Cubase.
2. Can't play midi patterns for drums. There are tons of midi patterns for advanced drumming and again only with S1 or Cubase I can play those midi and make Addictive Drums playing them, for example.
How do you do this in Bitwig? I can't rename what I see in the drumming view (which displays only the letters of the keys).
I mean midi files preview:donkey tugger wrote: Mon Aug 21, 2023 2:58 pmEnGee wrote: Sun Aug 20, 2023 9:46 pm The only things that I don't like in Bitwig (and Live) are:

It's not widely used, but AD2 can convert GM (and other) drum files to AD format;

(page 36)
All I can hear in Bitwig/Live is a saw wave, but in Cubase/S1 I can preview the midi files (patterns) and choose what I want fast then drag and drop (and maybe edit later). The only way in Bitwig/Live is to drag and drop the files into session/clip launcher and play it which is not practical.
The problem with Bitwig is except of their own different 'things' from Live, but everything else is just copying from Ableton! So, if some features aren't there in Live, they are not bothered! This is why I keep Cubase/S1 handy because till now I'm not sure to commit to one DAW like Bitwig or Live!

Bitwig… I still have 2 serials unused (was a good deal) so it still has a chance to share the house with the older brother…
We’ll see what v6.0 has to offer

Ha ha, v6 is not for now....
Do you use Ableton Note by the way? Can you tweak the sounds or is it very limited?

I don’t use it. I saw some late videos and it looks like fun but I’m always eager to seat in front of Ableton and produce and still learning more techniques from some freaking gifted producers. For me it’s a pure joy and all the other DAWs I own don’t inspire me as much.Jac459 wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 4:41 am Ha ha, v6 is not for now....

I’m lucky in that sense. It was an unusual DAW for me when I got it but once I committed to be my production canvas I got blessed with it and M4L incredible tools, lately being the Fors devices (all of them
Here is Chiral, one of the devices.
