Hi!
I bought the v-machine 2 months ago, and still have not been able to install a single plugin. I belive i'm NOT alone. This is just to difficult!!!
Anyone tested Spectrasonics Atmosphere on the v-machine?
If anyone have the atmosphereplugin, could you test if it's possible to make a wizardfile that works for that plugin!?
My hope is that atmosphere will work with the v-machine SOON.

I am not sure if I can help you immediatly with this plugin but not being able to install a single plugin worries me, have you tried some of the ones we have listed or are you trying specific ones. We don't expect users to write Wizards files, many developers will start including them in thier install as well as we and other users increaseing the list daily plus all the plugins which don't need a wizards file at all. In any case, we are here to help if we can and also on the website with support pages.b333 wrote:Hi!

In short, you do not need to import the fx.dll files for the plugin to able to use its fx.mon8169 wrote:How do I import the effects from the plugs that also have the fx.dll file? This is for plugs like B4 II (B4IIfx.dll), VB3 (VB3fx.dll) and so on.
It seems that the VFX Application goes crazy when trying to import the fx if the instrument plug is already imported. It even destroys the vfxinfo.txt from the already imported plug.
That would only happen if the two different dll files have the same "vst plugin id" this is the number at the very top of the vfxinfo.txt file
What is the VST plugin ID?
From the Steinberg SDK:
"The plug-in declares its unique identifier. The host uses this to identify the plug-in, for instance when it is loading effect programs and banks. [...] Be inventive; you can be pretty certain that someone already has used 'DLAY'. The unique plugin ID is set in the constructor of your plugin and consists of 4 characters, it must be different for every plugin/project you create. You have the option to check or (freely) register your unique plugin ID at this Steinberg site: http://service.steinberg.de/databases/p ... n?openForm

So far the V-Machine is the most disappointing piece of gear I ever bought in my life. I can't get the OS update to work at all. I tried with four (!) different computers (PC). I did everything by the rulebook and I unplugged all USB items etc. etc.
The SMPro Audio support couldn't help as yet.
1) how the hell do I check the firmware version and what's the difference between firmware version and software version?? that's what they asked me but I can't find any information on that in the manual!
2) of course I unplugged all USB gear
3) yes, of course I turn on the VM while holding both learn buttons and then start vfx but the update doesn't start at all. All what happens is that VFX hangs after clicking OK
4) I spent days and hours now with this thing without any success and without playing a single note...
what else can I do now other than scrap the VM as useless?

Hi, obviously you are having issues which others are not, so let's take it step by step, this is the first time I am hearing of this and I can tell you from years of doing support that I get these things sorted out if I know about them.vuckmachine wrote:So far the V-Machine is the most disappointing piece of gear I ever bought in my life. You have put up a support ticket on SMPRO AUDIO as far as you say, can you please let me know your ID name so I can have a look what they are doing about it and read all the info. Let's not worry about version and just get you upto the latest version for everything. Can you please let me also know where you live and where it was purchased as I feel issues such as this, the local distributor should be made aware of and should assist you more then just telling you to go to a website. You are right, as it is, it is useless to you.

Sorry for bugging you guys so much (you're already under a lot of pressure as I see it), but my original question about how many effects plugs (without any instrument plugs) can be run at a time, is still unanswered.Jazzy.Shredder wrote: Mainly these plugs:
1) Native Instruments Spektral Delay
2) U-he Uhbik
3) U-he More Feedback Machine
4) IZotope Spectron
5) AnwidaSoft GEQ31V

Plus some more, if possible.

THat is because it is not an easy question to answer, you need to actually test it with these particular plugins. Do you know how many you can run on your PC and what kind of PC you have?Jazzy.Shredder wrote:Sorry for bugging you guys so much (you're already under a lot of pressure as I see it), but my original question about how many effects plugs (without any instrument plugs) can be run at a time, is still unanswered.Jazzy.Shredder wrote: Mainly these plugs:

Have anyone got the Lennar Digital Sylenth1 VST working? I've tested the demo version but v-machine will not start the plugin, is it some graphics problem like th WIVI plugin, direct3d support issue?

It is not simply a matter of just copying and running it, some plugins will work without any extra files and installation (just the DLL) but some require certain registry entries, so..meastempo wrote:Have anyone got the Lennar Digital Sylenth1 VST working? 1. we have a list of plugins we are going thru and making wizard files
2. you can ask the developer to do a wizard file for the v-machine (which is the fastest as they know where everything goes anyway)
3. make one yourself. (not so easy for most users)
Anyway will put it on the list.

Ahaaa. Klick on them!!! I just scroll them. Now I get it, hihi.VFXAU wrote:can you see each channel has an L and R on top, mrmartini wrote:I just dont seem to get it rigth.janka wrote:Highlight the Audio in 1 and 2- symbols (or just one of them). Anyone know how?
Is this something you can do in the V-Machine, or just in the VXF?
I can see that in VFX each channel have two "send" that sends to FX1 and FX2
Is this two "sends" the same that they called Aux1 and Aux2 in the V-Machine??
Martini
you click one of these or both and this enables the audio input to that channel, you could have the Left going into one of the 4 mixer channels and the Right to another if you like as well, or both into one plugin.
Tank you. Gonna trie to play my sound module throu there just to minimize cables to our live mixer.

Do I have to use a emty channel or can I use one with a plug inserted?

Ok..I inserted a fx-plug into channel 3 and run it through this. Now it works.mrmartini wrote:Hmm.. I can see the sound is comming in to the V-Machine. But I cant hear anything?? You need a VST, effect of some sort, and just don't use the effect part,
Or even better, what I do it use a dual 15band EQ and then you have EQ for the input, something like Classic EQ plugin which is free and does not need any wizards etc.
Do I have to use a emty channel or can I use one with a plug inserted?

I think the problem is that I don't know how to use just the effects... I load the B4II or VB3 in the slot 2, after the VSTi on slot 1 that should use the effect, but when I play it just sounds the organ, and not the VSTi on slot 1 with the effect. If I mute the sound (but not the effect, all drawbars to 0), I cannot hear the vsti on slot 1. I cannot see any parameter in both Vb3 and B4 II that enables any audio In and cancels the audio engine, so that it just works as an effect.MatthewSkinner wrote:

Any clue on how to do it?
BTW, the .dll and the fx.dll have different ID's, at least this is what the regeditor says, but when importing to vfx.... something happens!!
