Ooooh... wait, wait... can't promise that much of flexibility. But maybe, yes. We'll see...

So all. We're closing down.
My left hand has recovered well, I spent the last week on fine tuning and tidying up things. And I just sent a beta of the Audio Unit to the beta team. It still consists of a lot of diagnostic stuff, but if it works... we're done. Well, almost, because the following 1-3 days (hopefully not more) will see the final treatments for VST Mac/Win.
Cheers,
Urs

Great news. I noticed some serious CPU usage variation with the pre-version. Like holding down a chord makes it go from 10% to 25% and back. BUT I also read in another thread that this was a denormalisation problem and has been fixed in the final, so I can't wait! Also those waveform presets and all that will be nice to have.

Can't promise that it actually *is* a denormalization problem. Although these should definately have gone, one will never know... that's what we have to observe in the next couple of weeks.spritex wrote:Great news. Now starting on VST Mac. It'll most likely compile right away, maybe just a few adjustments in the configuration settings.
I'll keep you posted!

I've been sitting on what must have been one of the first registered versions of Zebra 2 and still I wet my pants over this news...
I cant wait to see what you've been doing to Zebra 2 since the last pre-release version (from march I believe).
3 cheers and a couple of beers.

Oooph... the heat is killing me.
At least I managed to make it compile on Win. But there's a lot of problems here and there which ain't easy to solve, especially when one can't concentrate. Something is weird with the new file handling stuff. I've either overlooked something or there are some bugs in the externally developed code. Somehow it doesn't show any preset at all and the module presets are simply non-existent. Bugger. And then it crashed on me. Dammit. It shouldn't do that.
Another weird thing is, the SSE optimized code differs between Intel Macs and PC, because that stupid MS compiler is just too stupid. So I had a lot of hassle checking which version of the code belongs to which platform and which bugs have been fixed where and how to remove them in the latest versions.
Sigh. Depressing. Will give it another go tomorrow.
Later,
Urs

Don't stress it, we can wait.
BTW, I'd gladly change our weather with yours to make it easier for you.
We have had manageable temps for a few days now. But I am just lying home with a stress fracture on my foot.
