My FR is : add a Hans Zimmer version of RePro-5, coupled with Hans' favorite shimmer reverb, and call it (the reverb) "Zimmer's Shimmers"

Urs, would you consider Adam Borseti for your list of Repro-5 beta testers and sound designers? The guy is great and has worked with Sonicprojects OP-X, XILS Lab synths and Memorymoon ME-80 to name a few. He knows his CS-80 programming like the back of his hand, but his talent for sound design really shows in these Korg Minilogue patch collections. This synth has got an army of haters, saying it's a piece of junk and can't produce a single good sound. Adam just took the thing the other day and did wonders with it. No one seems to able to program Minilogue the way this guy does. https://synthmob.com/presets/minilogue/ ... olumes-1-6 Just goes to show if one can't program the synth right, it doesn't mean the synth sucks.
I know I sound like Adam or his agent, but I'm neither. I'm his friend who thinks the guy's underrated and deserves a better chance and a bigger challenge. And Repro-5 is exactly that. Please check out his work and see if you're interested in his services. Check out his YT channel, lots of sound design work with various synths, both software and hardware.
Thanks!

The only problem is his presets might be more expensive than any of the uhe synths.... consider me80 costs $40 and he sells his me80 soundset for $50..... no logic in thatyoung lust wrote:Urs, would you consider Adam Borseti for your list of Repro-5 beta testers and sound designers? Yeah 70-ish presets for $40 is quite expensive.

On second thoughts why does he not do a free sound set for Tyrell to see if he will gel with the u-he philosophy and bless the kvr community with his skills. .. he may gain some traction and support here and then go about commerciallizing his Skills here?surreal wrote:The only problem is his presets might be more expensive than any of the uhe synths.... consider me80 costs $40 and he sells his me80 soundset for $50..... no logic in thatyoung lust wrote:Urs, would you consider Adam Borseti for your list of Repro-5 beta testers and sound designers? Sorry, I don't feel like discussing sound designers here. We pretty much get flooded with requests whenever a release is due. As we can't "herd" hundreds of sound designers for every release, we have to boil it down to about between six and a dozen. We usually contact the sound designers we feel suited and discuss timing and possible budget. Every now and then we also get back to a sound designer who we haven't worked with (ever or for a while), but that depends on, say, how convincing his example presets are.

I didn't mean this for a lengthy discussion. I made one post to show you Adam's work. How you approach it from now on and whether you appreciate it or not for your project's good is completely up to you. There's nothing to discuss really, this man's work is all in his patches he posts. And that's what I meant to show you. I'm trying to promote this guy and present him to more developers, because I really think he's underrated and it's just a kind friendly gesture from me. I've mentioned the developers he has worked with and keeps working with, I posted his sound design work, you can see and decide for yourself if I wasted your time and the guy is not worth attention or he's impressive and could bring some goods. It's up to you, of course.
I've tried to contact you about it using other forms, but couldn't get an answer. Thanks and good luck!

Not everyone was meant to be a sound designer. Many weren't but don't know it
.
It is an creative skill as is graphic design as is an artist as is a poet or author. etc.
