hehe I was always engaging the damn song button! I couldn't work the mute bar effectively, just gave up on it.
Well maybe Mad Katz will surprise us and the button Mustang will actually outperform the Fender Squire Strat! I have to believe one of them will feel better performance-wise than the YRG. But the YRG is what we got right now (those other toys aren't coming out til November at the earliest), so let's make it work to the best of its capabilities.

Good joke in the internet forum on how to convert plastic electronic toy into something moreMaruuk wrote:Well, there are tech nerds who love to tweak and dabble endlessly, and there are normal guitar players who just want to make great music. ...

It ain't easy, that's for sure. But heck, I used my plastic-toy Suzuki midi guitar controller for some tracks on a PBS doc and got an Emmy out of it, so who am I to doubt the creative powers of musicians on a budget who have to make lemonade out of a lemon? And the Suzuki doesn't even have local string note-off, it has global note-off duration set by a single knob. Try that for smooth performance technique!

I'm inclined to agree. Awful musicians use that excuse all the time, it's the instrument fault, but good players with a creative mind can work on anything. Beethoven could compose a symphony with 12 tin cans and a candle stick for gods sake...

Did you just come to this thread for fun?
it just strikes me as odd that someone who could easily fing out the inforamtion they needed by going to the website has to come here and ask questions. Especially with the plethora of dedicated midi-guitar and yourockguitar forums not to mention all the social network coverage the product has.

Yes. Yes I did, and just to piss you off. Frankly, I dont even know what that hell this thing is, but I was like "I wonder if Tapper Mike is on some forum, so I can bug him" then I googled you, and ended up here.
To be honest, I've read everything I can about it, so if I asked something here, it means I couldnt 'fing' the 'inforamtion'. Why are you such a giant baby about people askin questions? This is a topic for discussion afterall. And some people don't have the time to spend on the Internet all day, so just feel privelaged you can.
