Hey all.

This thread is an extension of another YRG thread where I questioned whether the YRG has or doesn't have one or another features. (thread discontinued)

What I have learned;
The YRG has these midi features not then represented anywhere on the net.
- Concerning midi polophony - "MIDI preset 17 is MONO mode out (Individual channel per string) Channels 1-6, Preset 18 is channel 11-16."
"Default is poly."
- Concerning midi velocity - At this time, the developer claims having midi velocity, as stated in an e-mail to me...although, I have not seen it mentioned on the "final .pdf docs" or the net. I am the devil's advocate and won't assume anything until it's a legally binding claim made by the developer.
Because if this, I will not tell you the YRG employs midi output velocity data for a fact.

Any comments or question can be posted here for the moment.

Apparently they've started shipping the 1st batch. My order was 56, so it could be here in Feb, would be ok if its March though.

If your not american, "sons a guns" is an expression I can't even define, and i'm american. haha
That goes to show how big and diverse the nation is.

It's sorta the polite way to call them a group of x!~? (explicatives), and to start sending the guitars out.
So it looks like he doesn't have one yet either.

That's nothing.
I was promised 6 weeks on my ztar it took 6 months.

I'm customer 17 and my order is number 96

I've always wanted one of those things but every time I get the cash up I end up doing someting else with it. Is it really worth it?

I play mine every day and enjoy the hell out of it. I've got a baby z There is a learning curve attached to them. Had I saved enough for a mini-z I would have preferred it.

Ztars are not guitars in as far as armature goes. Even the seasoned guitarist will have sometime getting used to them. That being said they do possess a wide array of options not attainable on a YRG or any midi guitar do to the unique zoning (layer)and mapping features. As well as the CC.

in summary if you want the expensive professional set up and are willing to commit time and energies to master it then go for a ztar. If you want to use an easy to use moderately priced guitar like midi device go with a YRG.

Yah I'm order #327, i hope i get mine by march at least. This will be my first midi guitar and I'm super excited. I'd also like to know has anyone actually received theirs yet?

How long ago Did you get your Ztar.
Harvey Used to take years to put them together ! 6 months is awesome for him!
If it only takes 6 months , I might order another one.
If you have a ztar , Why order a YRG? Are they really only $100 !
What features are on your ztar?
