Ahh, well at least hopefully "so probably not this week" is a thoughtful hint that it will be soon#rob wrote:Sebastian has taken a couple of days off, so probably not this week.
I don't want to promise anything that we can't live up to, so instead of posting potential dates and time frames, I'll just quote one of the most traumatic phrases of my youth: "when it's done".

Holy cow! I was just perusing this thread and I saw you guys talking about Massive Modular, so I checked it out. That looks crazy glorious. I really had no idea there was that much potential to mod Zebra. Only makes me love it more.

I'm hoping for custom filter shapes, or filters that u can shape with some sort of tool to create custom comb filters and such.

Wow. Thanks for posting info re: plugmon Massive Modular. This skin is stellar. Instant buy.Blue Phase Music wrote:I've heard other people say similar in that they normally don't spend money on skins, but this one is just so pleasant to look at that it's worth spending the $25 on. That's my excuse, too.ErikH wrote:2 Blue Phase Music : I've come across the plugmon Massive Modular and may be interested. Could you tell a bit on why you use it?
I just love the look of it, not that original Zebra2 is bad.
That's about the long and the short of it.
Just wow!

I didn't read 75 pages of "is it done yet" for context. If we were just talking about the skin, that's fine too. As has been said, "When it's done." "Anywhere near to ready," on a product of this complexity could be years from now, whatever. Happy Friday, y'all. Peace, D

Yeah but seeing as this thread has been the receptacle for the same question ("are we there yet?") since 2012, I would advise calm and not to hold one's breath.

FWIW I'm currently implementing some "magic" that'll allow us to improve speed to Zebra's spline-based waveform and multistage envelope generation. The exact value of a spline-based waveform at any given time can only be calculated iteratively (much like nonlinear zero delay feedback filters), but with a few tricks one can "bake" the result into a different kind of curve which can be computed directly.
So yeah, this is the kind of stuff Z3 currently consists of. Loads of concepts, loads of little algorithms that'll help us put things together. A few of the new modules exist in some experimental shape, but non has been fully finalised.
The main issue remains filter quality. We want them to sound as good as Diva's with the CPU footprint of Zebra's current XMF. That is very, very difficult still. However, the "magic" I mentioned above might help with that as well.
