I shall apologize to you for my yesterday's long rants, it was my buddy's birthday and I fell in love with his alcohol bar.
I think there is still some echoing of that in my head today, which rather hurts like a B, but hey... if there is a snowflake here who never got drunk and laid in his life, boy please, go get a life.
Urs, my point was you don't need to lick Repro-5 clean until it's 1000% perfect. I know you may be that sort of perfectionist, and I respect that, but tell me, was the original Prophet-5 really perfect in any of its revisions? Version 2 chips were acting retarded sometimes, but people loved the sound of it! This made the version 2 sound more thick, you know, like ghettosynth's sister, and there's people who still prefer V2 to more polished V3 because of that.
But was a slightly retarded Prophet-5 V2 absolutely a legend of a synth? It was. And people played it and they loved it and they made legendary records with it. FACT.
So don't be afraid if Repro-5 will not be a 1000% polished synth at first, jerked off and faggoted to the point of nausea. If it's playable and it rocks da house so damn hard the hot chicks in the front row will be turning their eyes to the keybord player when he starts playing, that is the TARGET, you see? that is the big momma. That is why all you developers and manufacturers been helping us musicians out with all the badass hardware and software you been putting out since the day one, so the musicians could rock the boat and look cool while we're at it.
now I know this is not your standard approach to things and you may seem to think I'm talking rubbish, but if you really think of it and see it as a big picture, it makes sense.
