Thanks ...Fleer wrote:If you don't use Structure, it'll be 40+GB less.Aloysius wrote:blah, blah, blah ...
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Zinio had 50% off yearly CM subscriptions about a month and a half ago. I'm guessing there will be a sale of some sort in the next few weeks with back-to-school season.bharris22 wrote:Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know of any current deals on Computer Music digital subscriptions? Mine on Zinio just ran out, and it looks like it would cost about $35 to renew - just curious if anyone has seen it for less recently.
Thanks!
If you're just interested in checking out the latest issue, you can get a free 30 day subscription through iTunes or Google Play. I believe you need a credit/debit card for this (prepaid should work) and you will be billed if you do not cancel within 30 days.

But you can also start a subscription when there's a sale and the CM software Vault will be waiting for you, full of goodies of past issues.
You can get a subscription at $1 per issue sometimes.

Hybrid, Loom and Vacuum Pro. But I also love the sound of Velvet, a sweet Rhodes. And then there's Strike for drums and Structure, a 40 gig sample behemoth. Plus lots of other stuff.

Just wait till they offer a better deal. BTW I think Zinio has the best digital subscription format.bharris22 wrote:Hi Everyone,

Are all the air instruments sampled based? I dunno I just remember people saying the quality of air is low. I recently bought kontakt ultimate, arturia collection, and uvi vintage vault. If anything I was thinking of picking up synthmaster since its on sale. lol. So should I get synthmaster or this air collection?

Agreed. You're comparing apples and oranges. XPand!2 is quite a piece of kit and I bought the upgrade just based on that. If you're not familiar with it, spend a $1 and try it out. If you like it, get the upgrade. You've got a couple of weeks to figure out if it's for you.Fleer wrote:Synthmaster is a whole other animal indeed, much deeper in synthesis. But that wouldn't keep me from the AIR ones.
Synthmaster, on the other hand, is just a beast of a synth. All the sounds really are in there. Most impressive to me is that I can get a very convincing B3 out of it--complete with Leslie on the mod wheel. I've never owned a synth that could come close to this.
Cheers
