No rendering problem here with Elektrik Piano at any speed. Did you install their "Direct From Disc" update?

yep, still seems to be a problem. Also, on rendering the ride cymbal exhibits a weird clicking sound kind of in rhythm with the notes.

Yeah, the DFD update is on there. I've also tried playing with the DFD settings - buffers etc, but still I get dropped notes (and weird clicking sounds where the notes should be, as per JeffN's experience with DFH). Maybe my PC isn't up to par ? Athlon 1.3GHz, 768Mb Ram, Audigy card. What are you running Andrew ?

Athlon 1.7GHz, 1Gb Ram, Gina card.
Do you have this problem with any other sampler VSTi or only with Electric Piano?
Also did you updated Tracktion? There is a new update came out on JUN17. (just maybe)

I suggest you shut down the DFD and load a light patch like "E7 small" then try rendering again.

Version 1.5.1.16 (built 17 June 2004) works great with my Mbox. Thanks to all who made that possible.
I'm happy to announce that the VST version of BFD works well on my P4 2.4GHz with 1GB ram. BFD is a total hog for both RAM and disk, though...
On the other hand, Amplitube doesn't work at all. Any plugin directory I pick for Amplitube results in Tracktion crashing and eventually rebooting my system.
I've had terrible luck with the RTAS versions of Amplitube and BFD. Does RTAS and Digidesign just suck? What's the deal there?
Tracktion is a really cool app, but it looks like I'm still going to end up getting a G5 and Logic Pro 6 because It Just Works(tm). Sigh.

Gee I guess I am lucky. Never any problems with Amplitube, Electric Piano or any other VSTi for that matter. My system is not powerful. Could it be the sound card? Or is it my habit to uninstall any program that I do not really need.

Hi all:
I am new to Tracktion and enjoying it a lot. I also use Digital Performer, but find Tracktion's simpler approach to tracking appealing for some projects. I just did my first recording this past weekend, and most everything was very intuitive in the Tracktion interface.
A couple of problems, though. Absynth 2 gets instantiated (in a Tracktion track), its UI opens up, and I can play its notes through an attached Edirol PCR-30 MIDI keyboard. The problem is that the audio sounds distorted, noisy. This is not the case with the other Native Instruments instruments (FM7, B-53). Absynth 2 sounds fine in standalone mode.
The other rarity is that MachFive remains in the list of VST plug-ins not usable in Trackion. I made sure MachFive's USB dongle is in, and that it works correctly from Digital Performer. I ask Tracktion to rescan the plug-ins, but still no luck.
I have not tried running either one of the above instruments from another VST host.
Are these known problems? Am I missing something?
Thanks.

Latest patch: 2.0.4 When using the Patch button on Absynth it crashes.ageis wrote:Absynth 2.0 (latest patch)
Any edit using Absynth 2.0 hangs Tracktion with nothing of interest posted in the logfile. Adding the Absynth dll to the ignore list fixes the issue.
This is using the latest download (1.4.0.153).
In Nuendo 2.2 and Live4 this does not happen by the way, Absynth 2 can be used fully functional.
I hope this can be solved.
Kind regards,

I found that Hypersonic 1.1.2 VSTi does not work with Tracktion, but it works fine with stand-alone Chainer, so I know it's an error specific to Tracktion. It's a syncrosoft POS error, but it does not occur in Chainer, which leaves me wondering if it's Tracktion that could be causing the error.
Whatever it is, I sure do hope that it's fixed in good time. Since I own a legal copy of Hypersonic VSTi there's no question about the legality - according to Australian law it is 100% legal and they will not prosecute legitimate users who use cracks to bypass faulty copy protection schemes that prevent or severely hinder authorised legitimate use of computer software.
Cheers,
Ben

DARN!!! I run Tracktion and have been able to LOAD Hypersonic in a Rack and use it that way. Can't directly load it as a VST because it just plain flat refuses to load.
But...OH NO!...it just diseappears. No warning, no error dialog, no message, just freaking DISAPPEARS into thin air.
Sort of like...I'm working on the Hypersonic and getting a nice mix of strings, guitar, basses and what have you and BA DA BING!!!...erh what the heck, what is going on here? Where's tracktion? All I can see is my freaking desktop! Tried the ALT+TAB - no tracktion. Tracktion is GONE. Nothing. Nope, nothing.
This thing really is starting to seriously drive me up the wall. A few people use Hypersonic with Tracktion because they prefer not to use Cubase.
Is this some sort of punishment for not using a Steinberg plugin without a Steinberg host? I mean I am seriously starting to think that. I spoke to somebody who uses Hypersonic in Cubase without ANY problems what so ever.
I think Tracktion has some pretty serious bugs that need to be looked at. This is certainly NOT a minor issue here. Tracktion is stable - that is, unless you use Hypersonic!!!!!!!!!!
Not Happy Jan!
