Arts Acoustic CL Series compressors- no love?

Regardless of how good something like liquid mix might sound I still prefer algorithm based options. I've never gotten into convolution based reverbs... just plain don't like them.

i am sorry . Thinking in ilok for cl. serial is nice method.well, the artsacoustic cl series is serial protected, so i don't see the reason why you mention this here.
And about liquid, are 16 stereo, 32 mono, and always you can buy expansion if you need (of course, more money) i do not think in a computer with 32 instances of the same compresor in native mode, uhuuuu
maye for run 32 native instances i need a new computer. ha ha (more money)
i think for the relation quality/money liquid mix 16 are the best solution (only test demo of CL) (and right now have the same price)
of course liquid is like a dongle.... and for people with new and powerfull computers , and only need to run 3-4 instances of a compresor, maybe cl is better solution.
But i like a lot hardware solutions, with real buttons to move. (but it's me... sure other people have other needs)

I don't know what kind of computer you are using but you really don't need much CPU to run the CL series.
On my old AMD x2 3800 (this is a almost 5 year old computer) each instance only takes 2-3% CPU. So I can run at least 30 Cl compressors there. (last project used 15)
So from my perspective the CL series is not CPU hungry at all.

cytomic ruined every other compressor for me. the glue is the one. it has obsoleted almost all my other compressors, including my rocket.

Wow, so after spending some time with CL1 again I realized that it's amazing and could replace a few compressor options for me. Definitley the most analog sounding and just using it for the saturation with hardly any cpu hit is great.
I just wish AA sold CL1 by itself for people that don't care for the M/S features... I think they are shooting themselves in the foot by not doing this and is probably one of the main reasons it's not as popular as it should be. Any chance of this happening? I emailed them but have not received a response yet.
