Look, let's face it, I'm only continuously bumping this thread in case Urs wants to offer me a free copy of Zebra for all the free (without tax) publicity I'm giving him :wink: :hihi:

Maybe you should approach Urs about getting a free copy of Zebra in exchange that you get a tattoo of the U-he logo (somewhere constantly visible) :shock:

That'd be worth a free copy!

I heard in Jamaica they give out a prize copy of Zebra to the biggest boombaclad.
If you vacation there sometime, you should enter, as I'm sure you could win if you keep at it.

pointless thread of the year award goes to...

yellowfever wrote:mmmm. Interesting findings. I just went on the web site and did the 'buy now' process for Zebra in US Dollars, Euros and GBP. Results thus:

GBP = £165.01 = $256.72 US Dollars.
US Dollars = $236.81 US Dollars = £152 GBP.
Euros = 189.72 = $256.72 US Dollars.

Conclusion - pay for something in US Dollars, as the dollar is currently weak, which means you'll save money. :D

(I'd still like the site to be clearer that tax will be added.)
and also where that money goes...!

No, I think this is the winner thus far.

Here is the published VAT regulation...

http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/ta ... dex_en.htm
It applies more or less to all goods and services that are bought and sold for use or consumption in the Community. Thus, goods which are sold for export or services which are sold to customers abroad are normally not subject to VAT.
Now the issue is how is the price difference declared in the invoice as VAT or as part of the product price...?

Ahh but it worked (kinda :P). Urs is considering putting an asterisk on the buy now button when he overhauls the website. FTW!
