This installer installs 32-bit and 64-bit at once. I'm going to change that and offer two different installers for the final version.

Thanx!

thanks for the new installers.
just a quick report: after installing zebra 2.5 64 bit cubase crashed each time i started it. if anyone has the same problem he only needs to open cubase (or any host i suppose) "as administrator" one time. after that everything is fine :)

Urs wrote:This effect is a relative to teh JP8000's Triangle Wrap effect. While the JP8000 Triangle Wrap only wraps once, with Wrap any waveform can be folded up to 10 times, as the wrapped peaks reach the boundaries on the respective other side. However, it's not quite the same principle as the JP8000 Triangle Wrap. The JP doesn't mirror the Triangle, it puts the Triangle back in from the other side. I might adjust the negative Wrap to do the same thing (will be even harsher, maybe).
I think it is harsher and sounds more PWM-y when you wrap from 1 to -1 and retain the orientation of the wrapped portion. If you do add this effect as well, I'd like to vouch for keeping the existing wrap effect as is. Personally the more different flavours available, the better. I suppose ultimately it depends on how different the two effects are, and whether it's worth it.

Oh, and thanks Urs for implimenting my suggestion! I was so happy to see it in there :)

I'll see what I can do ;-)

Hi,
I haven't seen anything about it on the first post/page, and can't read the whole 9 pages, but i'm still wondering : despite being 64bit, is there anything new fro MFM2 and/or Uhbiks (i know Z2.5 now does CZ synthesis) ?
Thanks in advance :)

I can't remember if this has been explicitly stated anywhere (it isn't in the first post, unless I'm blind), but it seems that these new OS X builds don't work on Tiger. Which is a bit of a bummer for my music-making workhorse laptop.

I think I'll be releasing special versions for 10.3.9 - 10.4.11 if significant features are added. However, 64-bit support and Panther/Tiger are kind of mutually exclusive. Some new Cocoa functions are simply not available in earlier systems, while some old functions have been deprecated in newer systems.

Nevertheless, you can still use the current release versions, as the 64-bit updates won't introduce any new features (apart from 2 OscFX in Zebra maybe).

Well, that's exactly what I was hoping to test tonight (plus I haven't played with Bazille for a long time), but of course if it's too inconvenient supporting Tiger I kind of understand. After all, I've been through a similar discussion with Audio Damage (they also feel that supporting 64 bit and would mean too many separate builds to maintain). I just didn't get around to upgrading the Tiger laptop to Leopard, and now the only alternative is to get Snow Leopard at full retail, which you can't buy without a bucketload of other software (iLife or something like that) which I don't want or need. Though I was wondering whether a sneaky subscription to the Mac developer's program would give me access to older OS versions. ;-)

You can get new and used versions, of 10.5 Leopard on the internet.
Ebay, amazon, and such.
Snow Leopard install gives you a chance to do a custom install, where you can deselect the iLife bundle, or just install garageband if that's all you want.

Is zebra and ACE out now as 64 bit,or still in beta versions?

Still beta. These are release candidates on Windows, but on Mac they're still missing drag'n'drop support among some other little niggles. Ah, yes, VST2 64-bit on Mac isn't finsihed yet.
