I know that it can be frustrating to see prices (and pricing plans) change on products that we've bought. I bought item X last week, it's on sale for half that this week. Heck, it happens. A lot! To all of us at various times.

It's easy to whine when that kind of thing happens, but it just reflects badly, and when I find myself doing that, I start feeling really stupid (time to get a life, and move on).

I also realize that there's no guarantee that the company that I just bought product X from will ever upgrade it, freely or for a price. Nor is there any guarantee that the developer will even still be in business (or even be alive, for that matter) in a few years. That's economic and physical reality.

From my end, I got the product I wanted at a price I felt was a good deal, and the company provided reasonable service. From an expectation standpoint, that's the end of the line. Anything better than that is cause for celebration (and appreciation).

Reason and TeamDNR have consistently provided far beyond that, and for that I am very appreciative.

I started this topic to express my frustration about such a great plugin being discontinued, and not because i think TeamDNR is a bad company. Even if it was discontinued, i'm sure it will work for a long time and it will still be great. I don't understand people nowadays that are always thinking the software they buy will have support for life!!! How about a Roland TR-808? Do you still have support from Roland??

No, no - don't group Michael Olsen in with them. He's a class act - I think that the DNR server just can't contact because of a spam mailer block, which happens pretty frequently. Micheal worked his ass of for this software, and really didn't get anything at all, and the same with Anders (LimeFlavour). Just about everything went to paying for the support reps my father had hired to deal with the inquiries, plus the marketing spots we had for MCP. I consider Michael one of the most awesome and trustworthy people I have met, and wish nothing but the best for him and his career. He should never be grouped with people like Max Gronlund.
Ahh! The reason it sounded suspicious is the, unreachable be email part, I had found an email for Max and asked about getting a copy of Nexsyn and he replied "are you on a mac or PC?" I replied "PC" and then I never heard from him and then sent another email, to the same email address to ask if he had any news and my email was returned as un deliverable due to the email account being deleted. Sounds like Michael's email issue is not the same as the Max's. Seems, Max messed over many people. Sad.

I was asked by Reason to change it.
Irony is always upon us when...

Laugh all you want. The only thing I've done wrong is improperly priced a product. I've always made sure the customers are happy and have tried to support stuff as quickly as possible and given everyone a great deal of help as much as I could. I was going to send you a PM apologizing for the unnecessary name-calling in this thread, but at this point, I'm fairly sure you deserved what was said. Go promote your hatred toward me somewhere else, cos I personally don't care if you ever buy something from me again.

Actually, you took very personally that I thought things were a bit flakey with TeamDNR and went on the offensive. I'm one voice and actually quite outnumbered. You could have ignored my opinion but you chose to unload on me which your gang took as a cue to break kvr rules and attack me. Hatred is a very strong word as I have none towards you. Too bad you did not PM, I would have openly accepted that. Anyway, no hard feelings. You seem to be a strong guy and I'm sure things will work out for you all the way around.

re_mute got it right. My statement was simple. I prefer business not mixed with personal trouble. I'm no monster because I feel that way.

I took it personal, because unlike a lot of other companies, it's just me again. Steven does do a lot of work, but overall there isn't anyone else helping me. I would never want someone to be demonized because of their opinions, and I apologize that it came to that. Unfortunately, there is no way to separate business with personal in my case, because this work is my life. I really try to make people happy as much as possible but I do not succeed in most cases, and for that I am sorry.

You got nothing to apologize for ... I'm sure most MixControl users are very happy. The complainers tend to make more noise is all.

I agree. This really all got out of hand. My original comment is meaningless anyway because the announcement changed right after i posted.

I understand Reason's explanation about being a one man operation. Given that fact, I will never comment again on TeamDNR. I did not mean to make things personal.

My sincere apologies.

Wow, this thread started out going the wrong direction and then proceeded to take way too many unfortunate detours, huh?

Anyway, glad to hear that there will be a MCPv2 and I'll just add my support for a donation box as well. Thanks for all your work, Reason, and don't think for a second that it's not appreciated.

SAW75 has a right to be pissed. I am not the best businessman, but I try to make you guys happy.. I really am sorry for the way I've conducted business in the past few years. Don't get mad at him, he's just a customer who should have been better compensated for my stupidity. I'm really sorry to everyone, I love all you guys and gals and hope I can make it up in the future.
