Is 9 year old Sylenth1 the de facto standard for EDM?

That is why I said I am not convinced of that company. I have read about such problems in other threads before. I hate it when software makes decisions that should be mine.

Maybe those drivers will go away if you uninstall Hybrid 3.

That's the point Hybrid 3 never installed because the Tpk driver stalled the installation but the driver did install. That is absolute crap.

No, I've avoided the Pace Virus like the plague especially on my studio computer. This machine did get infected when I installed Sonivox Pulse and clicked through the installation without reading....my fault that time.

EDIT: I did find Uninstall Tpk in the Control Panel/Programs list. Was looking for Pace or TPK not Uninstall so at least I can disinfect the studio computer now........

EDIT: For correction the installer did give a choice where to install the plugin but not the option to opt out of installing the AAX and 32 bit version.

Well, I have a number of products that use iLok, including almost the entire EWQL collection, and I have had no problems with it.

And a regular uninstall like any other software? Maybe the driver shows up in the installed program list...

Yes see my first edit above. I did find "Uninstall Tpk" in the Control Panel list....I was originally looking for Pace or TPK in the list which is why I didn't see it at first........

Just for grins and giggles I am trying to install Vacuum Pro before I uninstall the Pace Virus and it's hung up at the same point "Processing Tpkx64" that the Hybrid 3 installer hung up on.
Win 7 64 Bit............ :roll:

See this is why I've always been militantly opposed to third party copy protection schemes. I buy a product from Company A which uses Company B's CP scheme. If I have problems like the ones I'm having now Company A can't help me since the problem lies with B's CP software....or at least that's the way it would seem given the facts at this time......

(Yes these plugins were "free" with my purchase of the Akai but I'm sure some of the money went to Air)

And I just checked and the Vacuum Pro installer is still hung going on 10 minutes or so.........cancel installation/ delete TPK and never look at another Air plugin again..... :roll:

EDIT: Thanks but it looks like the TPK Uninstaller worked. I don't see any Pace/Ilok/TPK Registry entries.

Well anyway that was a waste of a day's off morning and more stress I didn't need.

So back on topic this experience has made me appreciate my Sylenth 1 all the more.......no driver drama. :wink:

The problem is, if you actually go to purchase the product, it says $99 and not $50. So you're spending a total of $228 for the package.
