Spent a lot of time setting up a mega complicated Numerology Pro 4 project to expand one Patchpool set 17 kaleidoscope sounds speed and harmonic root note variation, I've loaded 12 different snippets 6 transpositions of the root key and then adjusted the speed and transposed that 6 times the original sound is an interesting ramp/synced sound. These sounds are being sent into three different instances of NI's Molekular loaded with heavily modified DNA patches as well as being sent (dry) into a 2Caudio B2 reverb loaded with a Clarity Expansion patch called sparse hall. I'm spending more time with Molekular and the DNA patches to try and get a better grasp of whats happening and trying to get a sweet balance between the effected sound and the original Kaleidoscope sound. Additionally there is an ArcSyn Arrows patch and an Iris subscription sound (Crane Monster) that add a little variation. I experimented with the project tempo, which did not change much about the audio snippets but did change the Molekular effects and the speed af which the various sound entries came in.

waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

I made a new track using the above setup, this time I found some interesting sounds in the North Sea 01 and 05 which I tweeked, and massaged.

It's more like the soundtrack highpoint in a holy horror film ala the Da Vinci Code. The Iris patch using sounds from an church ceremony adds that small flavour of holiness

Well my Numerology Setup turns out to be quite efficient at setting up these complicated soundscapes so before going off to work this morning at 5 am I sat down and made this:

I had the previous evening recorded the material, and did some further tweaking settings on the soundscapes levels effects amounts, periodic rhythmical divisions of the phrases and project speed before recording..

It's very intriguing to explore the Kaleidoscope sound world so although it's not more than 5 hours ago that I posted an example here comes another.

But as a relief from all the tweaking and tweedling of knobs I made a track using a single sound from Kaleidoscope Subscription set 17 and a single sound from Arcsyn Arrows and two instances of 2C B2. Additionalyl I worked with some Fab Filter Saturn Distortion on the ArcSyn Arrows patch.

I'm still finding my way around the Kaleidoscope set 17. Some very experimental moods in this track:

Watching one of the Patchpool Kaleidoscope videos I noticed how three instances of Kaleidoscope were used more or less realtime to create a great sounding track.

Heres a track where I switched between three instances using versions of the same basic material, I transposed changed the tempo from version to version, the underlying marimba like sound from Chromaphone 2 set Resonate creates a leading element. used PSP rotary effect to give it some spatial movement. Sent the output from Numerology Pro 4 into Audio Hack where I could have DMG Limitless and 2Caudio B2 and record the track. This saved quite a lot of CPU..

Working with the method in the previous post, I came up with this soundtrack type track might work for a arial journey to a fantasy kingdom

Using the same tools and setup as the last two tracks posted I worked on getting a more Rhythmic track going..

Another track using Kaleidoscope, two other sounds one from Diversion synth and Phonem.

I recorded two tracks of three instances of Kaleidoscope two in each track were using input rich noise sources from patchpool and one instance of Kaleidoscope in each was being fed with a percussive track I setup in Numerology generated using the Acoustic samples DrumTasteJazz the percussion elements in the second track played back at double speed.

The Phonem patch was fed into Trash 2 to give more edge and I used the Delay unit in trash to give som depth.

The Diversion Synth was playing a Copter patch from Diversity, I found the proper place to get the subdivisions in synth with the other elements.

I used Audio Hijack to capture the sound where I additionally used som FabFilter Pro Q DMG limitless and final sweetening using the 2Caudio B2 reverb loaded with a Clarity patch.

I tried to keep subdivisions consistant and the pitches in the Kaleidoscope patches in the same keys. The Kaleidoscope tracks were reloaded into basic samplers in Numerology and played back at different transpositions..

I did a lot of volume modulation on the Kaleidoscope image trying to keep the pulsating movement going in the track, this is quite easy to do in Numerology..

Strange underscore for a fantasy movie.
