This version has the following new features:

1. New filters are added (all based on zero delay feedback topology): Ladder, Acid, State Variable, Bite.

2. Analog ADSR envelopes added, ADR timings/sustain levels are based on measurements taken from an analog synth.

3. For the VST version, we added offline engine quality/buffer size so that you can use better qualities/lower buffer sizes (for better ADSR/LFO render) during offline bounce. As I said this only works for the VST version, I don't know if it's possible on Logic/AudioUnits/ProTools to detect offline mode.

Now before we set out for NAMM next week, I'll try to finish 2 things so we can release 2.8 Beta:

1. polyphonic pitchbend/MIDI channel rotation for keyboards like Roli Seaboard / Keith McMillen QueNexus
2. smoother parameters updates for automated parameters, this has been a longstanding feature request.

Enjoy!
Great! I suppose that this means that 2.8 stable is near... :D

PD: I know there will be a GUI redesign for 3.0. Will it be vector-based? :o

Still can't download it.

I'm a registered user, but I cannot download the Alpha.
Download page tells me email or Serial not recognised, yet it's the same details I use for for the release versions.

Is there a "special" group of registered owners that can only get access to this ?

yeah-nah I think it's problems. I get the same thing and I have had my license for over 5 years. Hopefully they can fix this soon so we can mess with the thing :hyper:

Looks amazing! I will be putting it through its paces tomorrow. Thank you!

IMO you should focus on improving wavetable functionality for 3.0

I have not been satisfied with other software wavetable synths. Somehow the playback quality of dune 2 seems off. Serum plays back tables very well, but the rest of the sound engine is a bit lackluster for me. I prefer the filters and effects of Synthmaster for sure.

As far as I can tell; the way that Synthmaster produces wavetables (wavetable "engine?" I hate using that word..) is very good. however, it is a bit difficult to come up with wavetable sets. At the very least; there should be 20-30 very deliberately crafted wavetable presets. For reference, I recommend the wavetables on the virus TI. I own one. For some reason, the way the virus produces wavetables has not been matched as far as I can tell. It has a certain detail and clarity that I haven't heard elsewhere. It may be that Synthmaster is at the same level technically speaking, but I have personally never come up with a wavetable preset that matches the usefulness of the virus ones.

I know you mentioned something about this earlier. I'm just letting you know it is a priority for me, and I think wavetables will be very relevant for a long time. I say go all out and make them as high quality as possible. Also, It would be great to allow us to use bend oscillator modes and fm at the same time! Combine these features with the new filters and damn!! This is going to be a crazy synth! Only other thing I can think of is audio rate modulation in the mod matrix. That would be great, but I can live without it.

Thanks again for this awesome synth

Nope !

I'm a registered user.
I won't go into detail on how to get there, but suffice to say only version 2.7.6 available.

Post

Same here too. We don't see 2.8 Alpha just 2.7.6.

Another reg user.

The binaries are all 2.7.99, I fixed the version numbers on the database as well, try again folks!

Try to do a clean install from:

http://www.synthmaster.com/downloadfile.aspx?fileId=43

after deleting:

/library/application support/kv331audio/synthmaster
/library/audio/plug-ins/components/synthmaster2.component
/library/audio/plug-ins/components/synthmaster2fx.component
/library/audio/plug-ins/vst/synthmaster2.vst
/library/audio/plug-ins/vst/synthmaster2fx.vst

Somehow, the setup doesnt overwrite the files and this kind of thing happens.

Did all of this, still no result. My Ableton dies, and auval too.
