Just been testing 0.3.2, only observations are:

1) Sometimes freezes when loading a saved patch, thought it was maybe because it was saved with a previous version but then it worked when I tried again. Pretty rare so could be my system (just using windows wdm at the moment, wasapi doesn't show up for some reason).

2) Adding autodafes modules meant the pop up menu is now too tall for my laptop screen. :) Maybe a way to page or scroll the list is needed?

Apart from that, all fine, great fun. Cheers.

Maybe putting each collection into it's own submenu could help with scrolling, particularly as more and more modules become available?

this has already been reported and I believe Andrew is already working on it ;-)

So is this a standalone app or is it a vst plugin?

It's a standalone application with a VST/AU "bridge" plugin releasing in about a month, which will let you place plugins on channels in your DAW and corresponding bridge modules in Rack for stereo audio/MIDI transfer.

Cool. Thanks.

Folks, could someone explain to me, please, why for signal output we need to connect our signal in Outputs of Audio Interface instead of Inputs? For me personally is it's more logical that signal received thru inputs and "go for a walk" thru outputs.

Will it be possible to pass more than one stereo pair, or to use more than one bridge plugin? It would be great if besides the one stereo out, one also could pass CV signals, or simple other audio signals, if one wants to add different effects to different parts of the sound?

Not sure what is happening here, I thought a screen cap would help...
All the modules look reasonable on cpu load, but the audio output is red lining at 80% cpu when idling... It's crazy!!!

The CPU on Audio Interface shows AVAILABLE CPU (yes, it's quite misleading)

Post

Yes, the CPU usage meter was misleading and removed in v0.3.2. To measure actual CPU usage, use your operating system's task manager or activity monitor.

Is there a way to quantize the sequencer output at this point? If not, hopefully a quantizer will be a module someone smarter than me will work on :-)

I have written two quantizers. One simple chromatic (semitone) one and a more complex scale quantizer. However, I have not yet ported them to version 0.3.2. Will do that as soon as I am back at my development machine. If you are ok with compiling yourself, you can get the sources from github:

Thanks, Martin. That sounds wonderful!

That sounds awesome... I wish I could go back 25 years into the past and decide to be a programmer. But alas, here I am with an interest in all things technical but no real skills :-)

So, I'm very happy to wait... What you're sharing with everyone is truly amazing!

It's taken a long while to get more of these wired modulars
Here's an early one in 2002 which was abandoned
