Specifically, we have the super-saw preset to serve as a template for our own designs. Now, is the super-saw an instrument or a preset? If the former, what are some examples of presets of this instrument. If the latter, what does the instrument look like? I don't see a clear interpretation in either case.
It's easy to visualize how an instrument like a draw-bar organ might have presets for rock organ, gospel organ, jazz organ, etc. But when we get to synth-type sounds, it's far less obvious where this is supposed to go.
The supersaw is an instrument. A preset would be settings of the generator and fx of the supersaw that sound good. I don’t think the supersaw device has any presets because I assumed it was just a placeholder and not really a guide on what people should make.
Synth sounds should be just as easy as an organ. Just think of it in terms of making a synth and not just a preset. You could make something complex like Sylenth1 or something easy like kick-maker. Just make sure there are enough parameters and fx that you could reasonably come up with variations.
IMHO if people think generally, instead of a specific sound, it will be easier to for people to come up with synth ideas.
