Flame is a bit different because he is at a considerably lower level of monetary success I would think. Maybe more theft then homage in his case. Pretty sure Sting and Rhianna are all set either way... Sting has done dubs of his Police material. It's each individual person's call I guess... to somewhat work together with a nod and a wink. I don't think it would be like, hey I'm Rhianna and I have never heard "Message In A Bottle"... not that sort of dishonesty... Me thinks this whole thing is just a marketing ploy to get Katy in the news. She about to drop a new record. The last one was real crap. Though I did really enjoy the two before that. Listened the hell out of them thanks to my kid spinning it non stop. .

From a music POV, the story is weak because the argument.ablut the Dark Horse seem to revolve around such basic rudimentary melody lines and structure. I bet there are little toddlers in junior kindergarten that tinker on toy pianos that come up with similar melody lines every day. Like seriously. This isn't Burt Bacharach melody stuff. It's really low level basic stuff. Kind a hard to claim originally.

That Christian rapper doesn't deserve a cent. I listened to his song. He is a blasphemy to the word "rap" and his song actually is so bad that it makes be want to turn on religion. What is the US society coming to?

There are different levels of country music, and not all of it is the mindless radio friendly budweiser gm truck driving radio friendly kind. Rossane Cash, Emylou Harris, Steve Earl make some of the best quality American country rooted and influenced music and have been doing it for decades .
