Does the randomizer only load a random preset or is this a true randomization engine where I can lock individual parameters and choose what exactly I want to randomize?

That is what how I feel.
In terms of UI design, Steve Duda revolutionized the synth industry with Serum. The biggest reason why Serum was a huge hit is the UI and the ease of sound design for beginners.

I really have liked the UI a lot personally.

At that price, I can't say no to what is probably the closest thing to a software version of the Hydrasynth.

Uh... not really. Something like Icarus is much closer, or even Zebra. ArcSyn is awesome, but it's its own animal.

You're probably right. I have Icarus and love it a lot!

It says it's not compatible with Apple Silicon. I use sometimes my Mini M1, so it would be nice if it is supported.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

It's mostly because Icarus has the oscillator effects, which they used to call "3D Wavetables," the third dimension being the effect. Zebra has something like that too, as does Serum and probably a bunch more that I'm not thinking of. I think Zebra was the first synth that I personally purchased that had it with morphing waves... no, scratch that. Upon thinking of it, Absynth had it, and was my first software instrument. Pretty simple implementation, but it has a few things. F NI for abandoning Absynth. At least give it back to the developer, if you don't care about it. So ahead of its time.

There is a beta version that includes Apple silicon compatibility here.

Thank you. I can't access their website though. It says "Server Not Found"! I'll check it later as I'm interested in demoing it.

[update]
Their website is working fine now. I've demoed it. It is a very good synth no doubt about it, but when I wanted to buy it, I noticed the list of synths I have, that I can achieve, kind of, similar sounds or results and they are at least 10 synths! Anyway I like the default yellow skin and it is resizable :)

The default skin is awful but this one isn't too bad at all, and it's bundled with the install -

I've always found it very usable and it sounds great. That said, I've not touched it in ages. I really need to fire it up and have a poke around. We did that with Synth 1 a few weeks ago and it's had an amazing effect on our creativity. Between us we've come up with five or six new things that we're really excited about.

It runs flawless in Bitwig on my M2 Macbook Pro…

But MPE is missing… That means - not even close…
