Why would they remove it?
Maybe to not confuse beatmakers and loop producers who don't understand such things?
I would be surprised if they removed them. They could have moved them though. One thing I see in that pic is those little gear icons indicating there may be options hiding there. Another possibility is for the fade handles to appear when you hover over them.

It's hard to tell because in S1 grouped audio clips don't have fade handles, so loops you have dropped in from S1's library for the most part are grouped audio clips. If you bounce them the fade handles do appear.

I expect DAWs will get AI tools (suno, autochordify melody, write lyrics, melody generator, genre based accomp assist, autobassline, autodrummer, counterpoint composer, and whatever you guys can think you need)

When I see a DAW with those kind of tools , I might consider coins and values.

Yes, because it’s a 3rd party product!
I think your missing the point
I'm missing the point, too.
Presonus won't offer any midi updates to 7. Why? Because you can purchase them from HW guy. Its an extra expense for midi feature S1 should have.
Thanks. I personally don't think Presonus deserves criticism for this.

19/Nov/2018 was my last paid update for Studio One 4.0 and had free updates till 4.6 which I've stuck on. 4.0 Was released in May of 2018. Studio One 4.6 was released in December 2019. My upgrade cost from 3.5.6 was about £53. Essentially, from Studio One 2.6 I've never paid a full upgrade price. I like the number 7 but I'm not sure if that's just because it's the same number as the house I live in :-D. Right now I'm hesitant in upgrading as creating music isn't a regular thing I can do nowadays, but I'll be intrigued as to what the main features will be other than those addons mentioned in the pre-release video. I dunno, maybe unlimited video tracks could be something. A new and improved Scratchpad, a new Node System, improved browser and re-dockable tabbed GUI that you can have full control over could be in the works, or as some have suggested new instruments, effects or clip-launcher.

If you skip buying the upgrade to 6.6, can you still download that version if 7.0 is too unstable for any reason? I forget.

I'm pretty sure beatmakers and "loop producers" use crossfades, dude.

With all the boring stuff automated, you'll have way more time to spend on marketing yourself. Living the dream, baby!

I hope they will add ability to insert Note Fx for third party vst. Anyway it seems great upgrade and as a Bitwig user, business model is clear to me. I don't have to pay yearly upgrade, only if upgrade will be valuable for me.

Ah yes. Remove clip fades, break backwards compatibility with older projects. Very dense assumption. And that specific user that types in caps here that wishes Presonus would remove features in future updates, what are you on?

Fingers crossed for automation containers.

Post

Automation containers and the ability to reassign an automation track to any plugin+parameter are literally the only new things I want.

To move through an infinity of possibilities, experimenting, discarding and selecting, gradually manifesting my idea into real world form.

Look the selection of AI tools I mentioned, are they like musicians in a band that I can use to play my music in my way and in the ways they suggest too?
I don't record any instruments live, I construct my music.
