In the Randomize section you can check the boxes for the pitch of each track, but then also the box for the chord progression for the entire song.

So does that mean if you leave the Chord Progression box unchecked, and all the pitch boxes checked, the pitches will NOT follow the chord progression? And if you have the Chord Progression box check the pitches WILL follow the chord progression?

Can't quite figure it out. :?
Tutorial/detailed explanation/workflow on this would be really apprecieated from me too.

So far I failed with evry attempt to get a useable/recognizable chord progression out of this tool. No matter if I tried chillout engine or Scaler 3 or how long the exported part is, the midi chords (I only export the chords, so nothing confusing from other tracks in) coming out had nothing to do with the chords shown inside the chord progression box (which are straight chords, nothing complicated, G minor), not even the root/scale could be identified correctly in scaler or chillout engine, usually both are very good and correct in identifying chords. Maybe it would be good to have a button for exporting only the "straight" chords without any fuzz. I have no idea how they get mangled in a way no other tool can identify them correctly. I am working a lot with these kind of tools like Chordgenerator or stepic or whatever and never get something this strange. I am working with the newest 1.0.3 so this is not the problem.
I'm pretty sure the Chord Progression section is tied to the Dice button, in other words the progression will only be implemented if you use the Dice button. To be sure I did a test of a repeated note across multiple patterns and parts, and nothing changed when playing the song.

This is kind of in contrast to the main song key and scale (right above the progression section), which if you change, will immediately change the notes in your song without using the Dice button.

So I think the Chord Progression is indeed used like I initially posted: It will be implemented to your song only if you have the Chord Progression box checked and use the Dice button.

Then, if you want a track to be bypassed by that implementation of a chord progression, you uncheck the Pitch box for that track.

And last but not least, if you want to randomize the Pitch of a track but have it outside the chord progression, you check the Pitch box for that track but uncheck the Chord Progression box.

Again, not 100% certain all that is correct.
Thanks a lot for your thoughts :tu:

I will try this out but still think its Sugarbytes turn to make things clear and maybe add something to simplyfy so that "what you see is what you get", or at least an option for this.
