A lot of the text seems to have poor colour contrast, I think there would be a big improvement in readability for a lot of users if the colours were all tested with a contrast checking tool like https://webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/ as is standard on the web.

I would add a dark marine blue hue to the GUI. Drop the gradients in the text label area. I like the different colors in the Matrix (like in the old Dark Horse theme). The modules view/look on the right are better than in the previous beta.

Thank you pdxinty and Howard! Now I have a few more questions haha. MSEGs are they going to have a eighth note divisibility in the time base? Also in the Map-O-Matic the Phase Offset is causing the phase of the overall OSC to drift even when OSC is on Reset (also to add I'm not modulating the knob). Is this normal behaviour for that effect?

Great improvements on the modulation visualization with the coloring and by putting the modulation knobs on the sides. I like where this is heading. A couple of quick remarks though, for what it’s worth:
- The wave selector on the LFO in the previous version was a real gem. So easy to just hit the button with the wave of choice. Why replace something so efficient with a turning knob that demands precision to select the right wave? - The pitch black background in the wave editor is very very… black. Even Batman would admit this is a bit much. Maybe a hint of grey here like before?
- I miss the clearly labeled and prominent buttons in the previous version. In the new version they feel somewhat like an afterthought and sort of seem more like information than choices. But all in all, love the update!

Ugh, is it possible to drag the slider up/down in the modulation matrix instead of horizontally? Because that is absurd. Why circumvent the user expectation of adjusting the value by dragging the mouse up/down for no reason? Other than this I love the new UI, would just like a light version as well.

I wonder, anyone else experience DAW crashes? particularly FL Studio. I tried on cubase and bitwig, no crash.

Yes, we are aware of that and will provide a hybrid solution with the next version. In there the labels (waveforms) around the rotary switch will be clickable.misterandy wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 8:20 am ...

Set the mapper mode to “Map Quantise” or “Map Smooth” and select Velocity as the modulator.eclipse_soundlab wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 8:24 am btw any plans for velocity mode in mod mapper? i need custom vel curves

Can you contact our support, so we can track this down together? Will be easier than doing it here.Lbdunequest wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 8:30 am I wonder, anyone else experience DAW crashes? particularly FL Studio. I tried on cubase and bitwig, no crash.

I tried that already and the LFO waveform knob is not a mod target in Zebra 3, but I was able to modulate the LFO waveform knob in my DAW.

I can't say I love the new UI, to me it feels like Zebra has lost it's personality somewhat. Compared to Zebralette 3, which has a design I think that looks and works really nicely, and has a distinct personality. Anyway, we'll see where it goes, and I guess what skinners do with it. Also, being a Mac person, the hard square corners on the grid boxes has always felt a bit nasty...
Anyway - I must be missing something about how to favourite presets. Currently, the only way I can find to favourite a preset is to move the mouse to the preset, right click on it, then from the menu, select a favourite group to assign it. Or, scrolling down in the directory to reveal the favourites group, to mouse drag the preset all the way over to a favourite group.
That's a bunch of cognitive load and mouse actions for something that should be a simple one-action repetitive task.
I can't click on the column that shows the favourite status, and the manual doesn't indicate there is another way to do this, or give a key command or anything. Hopefully that's not the only way to move through and preset tag 1000+ presets is by such a poor mechanic - surely there must be key commands to assign to favourite groups so I can just quickly favourite the current patch with one key press?
Help me u-He-One, you're my only hope!

Also - why such wide columns in the preset browser? It seems like a poor use of available space and feels like we should be able to display more presets/columns...
