There's an SE Electronics Ribbon Microphone available for £199 on eBay. Should be twice that (at least). I think it's a discontinued model as they have introduced a Voodoo Ribbon series.

Okay, my colleagues, here's what I consider a killer deal for a mic, but we have to be a little careful, because it's available in a trickle, and we don't want to blow it up.

Here's an SOS review of the Prodipe TT1 dynamic mic:

It's fairly ecstatic, and the comments I've been able to dig up with googling pretty much agree. Yes, this is a Chinese mic, but it's apparently a VERY good one. They still go for about $60 in Europe, and are performing way above their price level.

They've recently started marketing in the US, and can be found in various places for $29. Like at Amazon:

The distributor puts ONE at a time on ebay, for $20, no shipping cost. A No-Brainer, in other words.

They ship fast and are totally legit. I got mine in today and am extremely pleased with it. Sounds great, low noise, solid metal construction, excellent noise rejection, and on and on. I don't have golden ears, so YMMV, of course. I'm liking that it has a hotter output than my SM58, so I don't have to crank the gain as much on my preamp, thus increasing my noise floor.

The auction listed above ends in about an hour and a half. If y'all are interested, the trick to maintaining this is to let whoever bids first have it at that price, instead of kiting it up, then grab the next one that's placed in auction, and so on.

If Music Factory Direct quits doing this, this is still a helluva deal at $29. IMHO.
